Your tank is only 3 months old, and you have so much livestock inside. Could be that tank has not fully cycled or your tank is struggling to maintain balance, thus stressing the fishes. Tangs are prone to Ich, suggest you not add any till tank is stable.
Looks like a nudibranch. Can’t tell what type, so can’t tell if reef safe. Best isolate it till you ID it, or just throw if in doubt. Though I hate to kill life, but I don’t want it to kill other reef life too.
I believe there are several factors that could affect how frequent and how long your chiller kicks in.
These includes
- Using External or Internal Temperature Probe
- Placement of External Probe
- Chiller Flow Rate
- Surrounding Ambient Temperature
- Size of tank
Just guessing.
1) If you are using a Refractometer, maybe that is faulty and needs calibration.
2) Maybe you are skimming out too much water, then your ATO is adding fresh water which slowly dilutes the salt%.
The Blues of my Light just died, while White is still ok.
Anyone knows how to fix or where to fix, and how much would it cost?
It’s for 2ft tank.
Thanks.
Thank you so much for this post. I have been battling Bryopsis for months too. So just follow the instruction on the bottle? Or must "tweak" it a bit? Need stop Skimmer and Algae Scrubber?
Due to months of neglect, frags on frag tray became colonies.
GSP doing well., Sunny-D lost some color but can be brought back with proper care and tank condition.
Want to clear them cheap, interested please PM me.
GSP @ $15 per frag (1" frag plug)
Sunny-D @ $2 per polyp, minimum 5 polyps. Price negotiable if you want many polyps.
Will frag them only upon order.
Tried Aiptasia-X and Joe’s Juice in my last outbreak. In my opinion, both don’t work as well as expected. Ended up still had to get peppermint shrimp to do the work. Sadly, peppermint eventually died, suspected killed by tank mates when molting.
