Why isn’t my qq1 skimmer bubbling
Eric Ng Yong Keong replied to xredellahayes's topic in General Reefkeeping_
Break in normally take 1-2 weeks. And u will need to clean the neck every 3 days after it turn normal. U also need to use ur finger to cover the hole for the siphon for a good few mins and check that there is no air in the inner hard plastic tube and the water level should raise to the top and once u release ur finger the water level will lower and more bubbles inside the slimmer. New tank usually not much thing to skim. Hope it and patience helps. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app -

Hi bro with fowlr tanks With no coral. Need advise from Those bro with 5 or 6 ft tank. Need your advise on below Do u all have chiller or drop in? Brand/model/hp? Tank size? How many mins they cut in per hour? Set temperature? I am having problem with having another compressor and worry chiller might not cope and hot air issue. Thanks for your advise. I give up on fan that time. Did have coral but not opening good. Some even melt. If u really into coral, I suggest u save up n get a chiller. No point trying. Waste more money. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

U can try aquarium fan too. They are mounted on the surface of tank. Provide more direct cooling. Previously I using both. Manage to bring to 28. Sometime shoot to 30. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Noted with thanks. Good to hear this. Using aquarium chiller so felt the heat. Thought compressor will be worst. Mine only run for 5 min every hour. Super up sized chiller. Set 25 and cut in at 26. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Oh ya. Where u place ur tank is another good way to keep it cool. Cost nothing too. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app

Black out window blind is a good way too. Reduce the source of heat. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
