I think problens is not the skimmer but the pump. My skimmer(MARINE SOURCES) is doing well (still collecting thick skimate). Cheers THE WRIGHT CONCEPT

Well, buying all these gadgets at times depend abit on your luck. I believed the float switch possess the same kind of threat as the water heater that you have immersed into your fish tank. Afterall, water and electrity are never friends. As for me, I own one of this switch since I was in UK and it's in my tank since... ~approx. 1yrs plus now ?? Personally, I find it very useful; releasing me from the hassle of topping up the water level regularly
