Is there a natural way to reduce phosphates?
patricklhc replied to hansolo's topic in General Reefkeeping_
There is a post by bro Illumnae on the relationship of no3 and po4. Maybe you want to read up and if don't understand can post more question. Natural way to reduce po4 can be done but wouldn't be easy and like what macrovan mention it's not a very straight forward thing The link is here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Nice to hear your issue is improving most importantly u learn a new method to handle "algae" which will help u better understand the hobby and enjoy it more. Future cyano outbreak will be no longer be much of an issue to your already. Congrats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I use to have a lot of missing small fishes until I caught 1 by removing the whole Liverocks. There after the disappearing act of newly added small fishes reduced a lot. I never see it feeding on them but I can't help thinking bobbit is the culprit lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No way!!! This is the one that I deem the most fearsome using Liverocks [emoji29] a Meter long is huge leh u pet it for how long already haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Possible for take a pic of the red algae? If I didn't guess wrongly it should be red slime algae aka cyano bacterial. These are actually bacterials that looks like algae. It's cause by large number of bacterials die off due to lack of bacterial food usually carbon. Do a search on the net would give you a lot of information and treatment methods Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has SPS PE got to do with KH Level ??
patricklhc replied to cedricang's topic in SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum
I agree with you on the pale color and unhealthy. The whole idea behind "ULNS" is to strip off nutrient first then dose back in a controlled way. This way it's to bring the color of the sps back. Which is what I like but I definitely hate the pale out stage which makes the corals look very weak but I'm willing to accept that to enjoy the deep colors later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Lol he will have to marinate the crab first Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What does biomate really do? It reads High tech bacterial solution for saltwater tank Reduce mulm and phosphate in a biological way Processes mulm of substrate and rock Can I use it to replace zeobac? Or are there additional benefits if both are used together? What do kz mean "processes mulm of substrate and rocks? I mean on a full zeovit basic 4 system mulm will be produce on rocks and sandbed? patricklhc replied to cedricang's topic in SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum
I noticed that when I buy a dark chocolate colored acro colony from a Lfs. Just purely want to see what it will become. A few months in my tank there is totally no PE at all it was only recently I realize the dark chocolate color is gone. Greenish with a slight tinge of red i see some PE although it's still consider brown Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
