Sad to hear this bro..which queen u lost? Hope its not the biggest queen..
Btw, its really part n parcel of life yea..chance for u to add more fish then
Nice tank bro..u have any thermometer as really interested to know how's its like without chiller & fan..what's ur water SG? Can share pic of ur sump too? Thks
Rescape is always a risky move..fishes will b stressed n illness contained in them might surface..the important thing is do they still feed n swim well? Do note that by treating them with medication will stress them more..good luck yea
If dun factor in life, health, sickness & luck, its due to stress & hunger..some fishes are more delicate n thus need extra care..good luck to all reefers..
Hi all, I would to ask any Reefer wash/clean their biomedia after a certain period? As I have seen my BactKing n marinepure block got dirty(brownish) in my sump n had a temptation to take out n wash/clean but fear of an upset..pls advice n share ur experience..
Imho, not all water flow down will pass thru the "dirty" sock n filter n thus some will overflow..so there is still filtration..as for my sump, I din clean for a long long time..haha..with a par38 light below, algae bloom in sump n not in DT..
Yes bro, it will overflow..here is 2 pic of my sock n wool..
As u can see, both when clog oso will overflow.. I think it's due to my pumps turnover rate of ard 15000lph..
Imho, filter sock n filter wool working principles are the same..I m running on both now..sock at overflow downpipe n wool at return compartment..both got dirty quite fast ard 3-5days..my sock I will leave it overflow n replace per month..wool I will change ard 7-14days (easier to change but need to pre-cut to size in advance)..sock more convenient but cost more..
