-
Bro, for DT, not much changes n not complete yet as yet to get a proper light..cheers

Sharing some behind the scene pictures.. 1. DIY a overflow compartment cover using plastic cardboard from Popular Bookstore to prevent water mist 2. Storage Compartment under the ATO tank 3. Full Sump view 4. 2ft by 2ft Refugium with cheato n sea grapes 5. Behind the cabinet housing the electrical sockets to prevent water splash n vapour from evaporation + avoiding humidity inside cabinet.. large opening behind for better ventilation and easy access to filter sock n skimmer cup.. Under the stairway area will be my fish room with QT yet to set up.. Cheers & Happy reefing

bro, I would suggest to get wp25 for ur tank as the size of wp40 is bigger alot and so will eat up a bit of the space in ur tank.. its better to get 2 wavemakers than 1 (backup and also more coverage).. u can try 1 wp25 1st..something to ask, ur return 3000lph flow good?..coz in my view, its abit weak (in view of headloss) happy reefing

Hi bro, any update of ur FOWLR? hope to see pics of ur tank n ur healthy grey angel.. -
Hunger for the pond pics..any update?
-
Good idea..any pic to share for better understanding?..cheers
-
just to share..Wp25 need not any adaptor to step down its power..there's 3 power settings to choose from (100%, 75% & 50%) @ the controller..there's 7 modes to play around..its better to get a more powerful wavemaker (to note dun too overkill too).. for a stronger 1 u can step down..but for a weaker 1 u can't step up..my old tank 3 2 2.5ft FOWLR run 2 Wp25 n return jebao dc6000..the flow is ok only..no whirlpool.. I dunnoe the size of wp10 compared to Wp25 though..so u got to gauge n weight the pro n con urself..dun regret after buying a weaker 1 Coz will have to sell it at a lower price n need to spend again on a stronger 1.. Happy reefing..

This is the dry rock with the most algae on it..intend to get a cleaning crew to stay in my refugium..

Second that bro..can use those plastic like cardboard from popular bookstore..easier to cut to shape..I did that..pic can b found in my tank thread.. Sad to say, even with fan getting air out of the cabinet, things inside will still b contactable with salt content..be it more or less..so metal parts will sure rust to time..the fan used to ventilate oso need to clean n change to time..salt will form up inside the shaft, on the blade, on the casing, etc.. Nevertheless, reefing is fun..think of better way to do thing will b fine..inovate new ideas..happy reefing.. Keep the pics coming..cheers

Just back from holiday, surprised by my sump refugium..diatom bloom on the dry rocks n tank bottom..some of my grapes dissolve but my cheato grow larger..the par38 is indeed good for algae growth.. Hope the diatom algae will stay in my refugium..my DT is currently ok..all fishes check ok..happy reefing

One good way is to get marine grade outdoor electrical sockets..they came with covers..but I would presume they are costly.. Other way like covering up the sockets with plastic sheet can work too..but its not 100% protection so do change new sockets if get rusty..with plastic sheet shd b able to last more than a year ba..salt mist @ the sump inside the cabinet is inevitable..for me, I would prefer to have the sockets outside the cabinet..like hide behind or beside..can clean the cabinet internal better.. I think having good ventilation inside cabinet will help too..cheers

Nice tank..my tank done by Vincent too.. Running any chiller?..if no, ur top up tank a bit small.. Do note on ur power supply sockets..might have water moisture inside cabinet..the salt content will b dangerous.. Hope to see more pics coming along.. Cheers

I would advise water temp to be below 29°c..strong n good water movement in tank is necessary as current to the fish is like wind to us..30°c sound a bit too high to me..feel like ur fish is in hot pool..haha
-
The tank came in very pro..nice..any installation pics?..
-
Steady bro..we r all learning n sharing our experience on the reefing journey..cheers Just to share..angel fish can live in avg 28°c of water..just went Similan for diving..water temp @ avg 28°c..many beautiful large n fat emperor, Blueface, bluering, regal, flagfin, etc..not forgetting many tangs n butterfly fish too.. Happy reefing..

The tank set look very new..or u clean tanks very pro..keep pics coming..welcome to reefing.. -
Agreed bro..what equipment u siam to cut bill that causes lose of life?..some equipments like skimmer u can't siam 1..all fish life is important of Coz..I would wish my chromis to grow big n fat in my tank.. As I go for FOWLR, I wouldn't go for coral..as I know coral will bleach in hot water temperature like 28°c..so if I go for coral, the temp will b 25-26°c as such, chiller is a must.. I m a fish person..I prefer looking at fish swimming than colourful coral..maintaining a temperature of ard 28°c shd b fine then..to keep a fish healthy, its not mainly the temperature, but the water parameter n its diet.. for chiller wise, get higher hp compressor drop in coil chiller will b more cost efficient..to quote an example, bro vtec's 1hp chiller cut in for 15min n rest ard 2-3 hr..this make up to be ard 2-3hr a day of compressor running..the electricity bill will b less than $20 monthly..its really affordable for this case.. Happy reefing
