IMO, b4 dosing any funny stuff/chemical, look at the health of ur fishes n corals..if they dun look stress/sick/funny/weird, dun try anything funny..if really want to try dose, dose in a little amount slowly n see the effect..I find it dangerous as sometime the effect dun show progressively n one overnight will wipe out ur tank.. Speaking from my experience of skimz sk251 skimmer, lesser air will up the foam level..so open the water output to the max n fine tune the air intake to have a good skim foam..having such a high foaming will b wet skim..new tank might not have thing to skim oso..so if after add livestock still no skim then weird..happy reefing

Bro, just abit curious, what equipments u running in ur tank now that make ur water temp 30°c?..fyi, my water temp ard 28°c with fluval sp6 pump, jebao dc6000 pump, skimz sk251, 2 x jebao wp40 running.. For chiller, u got to see ur chiller specs then match its pump..too fast a flow will make the chiller run inefficiently..cheers

a lot of LFS shd have..i dun rem the name le..its quite a big piece then ownself cut to size..I bought mine from ah Beng..for this filter, there are different colour 1 for different thing removal..got ammonia, nitrate, etc..for phosphate is green colour..

Bro, for PO4 reduction, maybe u can try using the green filter that say remove phosphate 1..I find it quite useful..

Haha bro..the problem is my $ is her $..joke aside.. Having all tanks connected got pro n con..pro is like what u have say, con will b if 1 tank got problem, the rest will kana oso Coz all sharing water..FOWLR can have lower salinity but reef tank can't..temperature a concern too.. Envy..cheers

Looking good bro..nice diy skill.. Just some pointers from my perspective, the piping are very neat but the bend into the small box up area look like its quite hard to work on if problem arise..one thing that can't change is ur sump is not below all the piping joints, I say that its because if there's linkage, water will go elsewhere causing flood n pump run dry.. Is there any top up tank for ur setup?Coz I dun see any space allocated for it..maybe its elsewhere n/or u haven't write about it yet (Paiseh then..heez) Anyway, hope to see more updates n pics coming.. Depend on ur tank size, what u keeping?..ur current wave now ur fish n coral like it?..is there detrius on the sandbed n rocks?

Using 2 x wp40 for my 5 by 2.5 by 2..both power on s1..1 on else mode & 1 on w1 mode (dial at 11 o clock position)

3ft tank available for grab..will dispose it if no taker b4 CNY 2014..thanks..
