  1. Bro, rise the skimmer up?..do note the skimmer's effective depth.. Bro sunkistC have a good suggestion of changing the position of FR n skimmer..can consider this..cheers
  2. Bro, wavemaker won't waste much of the electricity..the most important is must have good flow in your tank..u can do w/o wavemaker if u have good n strong return pump..cheers
  3. Reef tank?..better to use RODI water/ distilled water.. FOWLR?..no problem to use tap water with anti chlorine.. Happy reefing
  4. Bro, from this picture, I think it will b a little harder to remove the inner skimmer cup rite.. It really look like a LFS in the making..nice..
  5. One word: swee.. Salute you bro..ur corals really grow well..
  6. Nice secret project..hope to see more rare species of angels in ur new tank..cheers
  7. Bro, post some pic of ur tank n sump n setup.. For Ph problem, u will see the fish eyes become cloudy n swollen..prolong will kill them of Coz.. if tank is exposed to light most of the time, Ph shd b no problem.. So now ur tank fishless?
  8. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/forum/34-members-tank-specs/ for coral, T5 lighting is quite proven to be effective..need high end led lighting..cheers
  9. Yup agreed..I was stunned by the price tag on the fishes..tot my eyes blur n can't see the decimal place.. Anyway, good luck to the seller..
  10. Ok bro..great to see such a beautiful reef tank..small pump will emit lesser heat given u r using the quick start system aka IOS..run lesser equipment also lesser heat.. One question, does ur tank water evaporate n need topping up?
  11. Wow bro..5ft x 4ft x 4ft..I damn excited to see it..
  12. Ok great bro..like to know what's ur tank water temp too..
  13. Wow bro..nice tank.. 1.5mth only but fully stock up with corals n fishes..care to share tank specs, equipments, sump pic, etc..cheers
  14. Powder series tang r prone to ich..yellow tang won't n its quite a Hardy fish with vibrant colour.. Mandarin is difficult to keep because of its diet..need a lot of pods in tank to feed on..
  15. Get a small flame angel n yellow tang.. Wrasse are not aggressive depend on species..they are good in picking on worms in ur LR n sand..
  16. Very nice Midas Blenny n cute puffer fish..lovely reef tank u have got bro..swee
  17. Wow 3ft deep..its good for FOWLR..its nice for reef tank too..but got to get very good lighting for corals..note that deep tank difficult to maintain too..do look ard at members tank specs to decide for urself..deep got its nice, shallow got its nice too..welcome to reefing
  18. Roger bro..haha..for my case really is water milky n cloudy..oni my blue tang is the longest sole survivor..2nd time survivors add blennies n leopard wrasse..got to do 100% water change everytime kana..now hope no more such cases.. Btw, I have mention that seachem trace element contain copper..so if reef tank please b careful..FOWLR use shd b very good..cheers
  19. Pardon me for using the word tank crash as 90% of livestock rip..sad..so what word shd I use? powder series tang not easy for me leh..maybe I don't have the luck n fate..or I no skill..heez As of now, don't wanna buy too ex fish..might consider AT when tank more stable..cheers
  20. I agreed bro..many factors to play in successful reefing..like my tank have no luck in a particular LFS fish, buy what rip what..sobz I have tank crashes when I introduce powder blue n powder brown tang b4..they ich n rip..causing 90% fatality in tank then..heard that AT (powder series?) also very prone to ich.. So I m scared of adding any powder series tang now.. Maybe its just my tank..cheers
  21. Haha bro..nice n funny 1.. I find that its not where the fish come from that's of concern, its the fish breed itself..powder series tang mostly will have ich issues that might crash the whole tank.. fish from different LFS, different tank syndrome aka u can't keep this breed of fish (keep buying but can't survive).. All play a part in term of survivability.. Good luck n happy reefing
