Bro, why r u looking for cheap successful setup tank Reefer?..u can follow them if found but u might not b successful too..all tank r different..I have read a Reefer successful tank for 3yrs without skimmer..only LR & cheato in sump..at night return pump off n only wavemaker running..no chiller no fan..seldom wc too..salute him..I dun dare.. hope u start ur reefing soon n share ur experience..cheers

Doing major wc 30-40% bi-weekly..this tub really make doing major wc easy given its water volume..

Bro, baseline is to know what caught fire n why have fire..a rubber suction loose will just b the wavemaker swinging ard the tank n will get caught somewhere on the rocks or glass or corners and it will still continue to create current as per normal but blowing at another angle and that's all..fire?..or issit the rubber go into tge blades n rubbing causes the fire?..I think got fire is because of malfunction/defect of the wavemaker itself..just like Samsung phone there's a case of the phone caught fire while using it when charging.. Do check ur equipments occassionally & good luck to all..cheers

Bro, this is quite subjective..there r successful reefing stories for both water used.. My experience is to use pre-mixed saltwater..have a more stable water SG & parasite free..I have used NSW b4 their SG varies by batches & my experience is quite negative..

Ok bro..adding of angels in order can say a bit difficult as depend on shipment n have the angels of ur size n u like anot..size does play a part..normally big fish won't bother small fish (size ard x2 diff)..if ard the same size, Colour n shape oso play a part..having those character shy fish 1st will b better..acclimating new fish to ur water 1st is important..the rest is luck liao..haha..cheers n happy reefing

I was thinking 150G tank with 3 fishes now like very empty..a pbt 3", sohal 4" & regal 4.5"..Hmm Planning of what fish to have is good.. my rip Regal 5" is more tame than my 2" flameback..so next angel addition need not b 5"..depend on what angel to add..

Spark n fire r different..fire inside water will b extreme heat liao..spark won't..nevertheless its indeed stunning to see spark inside the tank too..issit the blade rubbing or hitting the LR like u have described but tot the blade is covered?..simi brand wavemaker?..indeed an unbelievable experience.. More caves aka more holes aka more gaps will have better current flow instead of creating dead spot..u can scape 2 islands 1 big n 1 small which is quite common among reefers tanks.. Nice tank u have got..cheers n happy reefing..
