Saw this feeding video clip n was astonish by its eating speed..this Selene Vomer is too big for most aquariums unless u gg for species tank..I would prefer 1-2 4" in my tank n hope that my chromis trio will not become food..haha
Hi bro, my maxspect gyre did a very good job in clearing my tank bare bottom..all the poo will b stirred up n gone..my wc is 40-50% bi-weekly or 3 weekly depend..
Steady bro..given the poor resolution of photo uploaded here, u almost guess all correct..
Clown tang, Blue tang x 2, blonde Naso tang, purple tang, Achilles tang, unicorn tang, vlamingi tang, Bariene tang..excited to add my no.10 tang after CNY..

Anyway, for fishes to live in harmony depend alot on luck..u can try all different methods (which was mentioned many times in the forum) but still fail on the particular fish..maybe u change another fish of the same breed n everything is fine..this is part & parcel of reefing (sidetrack: if fishes dun rip, there will b lesser & lesser buyers, then LFS will start to close 1 by 1 liao)..cheers & happy reefing
To clarify that those SG of seawater is measured from the bag of water my fishes was in..I measured is because I wanted to acclimate my new fish to my tank water SG of 1.016 & at the same time test whether my old hydrometer is working fine anot:)..cheers & happy reefing..
1st & foremost, is the volume of water constant throughout?with little volume water, a bit more salt will up the SG by a significant margin..Btw, is the Steven LCK201 boss or AC boss Steven who say mix & top with 1.020? Fyi, LCK201 NSW SG is 1.021 & AC seawater SG is 1.025 (I measured with my old hydrometer), more other SG of water is 1.020(ah Beng), 1.014(TFC)..note that refractometer need calibration..u can try measure LFS water to make a comparison..anyway, salt fully dissolved then can start to measure SG..I trust my hydrometer
IMHO, SG tap water does contain substances..u try running ur tap over a cloth or filter like bag n the Colour will b ...... Anyway, for my FOWLR, I m using aged tap water to mix with salt..pump through a filter sock into my sump..have noticed my new filter sock got a spot brown Colour after wc..anyway, my fishes r healthy thus far..algae free? (maybe my tangs eat them faster than they can grow )..for reef tank I dunnoe..maybe reef tank bro & sis who use tap water can share their experience..cheers & happy reefing
Ok bro..maybe u can try adding a few tangs together..it might help to distract the bully..since u do shift ur rocks at times, maybe u can try to catch the pt n put in sump 1st..haha
Wow 3" pt beat 6" pbt..indeed a fierce pt u have got..do u acclimate new fishes in sump or beta box 1st?
I have a 2.5" pt in my sump together with a 4" CT & 4" small unicorn peacefully now, hope my pt won't b a terror in my DT soon..
For 90L tank, 900LPH pump mean 10 time turnover in an hour..depend on what u r keeping, some need stronger turnover while some weaker turnover..the turnover rate subject to ur skimmer capacity too..coz if flow rate too fast and smaller skimmer can't skim fast enough = no work..cheers
