Ok bro CODDY TAN, i think i have a visual image of ur OHF..shd b a slow flow n drip from tier to tier passing filter floss n bioballs? From google, i have search overhead filter images n have found some that r feasible..its like a sump (overhead) that r filled with biomedia which is the most crucial in marine tank..depend on how u r gg to do it n of coz such a big tank with only 2 clowns is a joke haha..with enough biomedia n rocks to house BB, ur tank of coz can have 20 or more fishes (mixture of small n medium) with regular wc..cheers

Haha bro..imho, there shd b different types of OHF so interested to see this long OHF.. interested to know the pump rate of this big OHF too..hahaha Although OHF is not feasible for SW, but there are SW tanks that run without sump or skimmer or chiller or blah blah blah and still ok.. there is really no definate in life yea cheers

It really depend on what r u gg to keep..any pic of ur OHF? Coz I read that the size is 6ft 3 tier which is quite big in my view..the cons of OHF is unable to house equipment like skimmer, reactor, etc.. what's the pump rate of ur OHF?

Yes bro..its something like that..I made mine the no.3 compartment bigger so that can have a refugium (actually not really function like a refugium but its for me to house and/or acclimate fishes )..I like how the water flow in this concept..cheers

I support the ATO tank to b on top n let gravity do the job..I have been running this top ATO tank for a year plus n its awesome (save electricity, no pump, no sensor, no timer) For sump design, it depend on ur tank dimension as it determine the space for ur sump (assuming sump is below the main tank)..if ur tank is wide, sump design can opt for a U-turn flow (can check out AA Vincent's tanks)..if not wide then no choice

Really an interesting process bro.. Cycle must have something for the beneficial bacteria aka BB to stay onto, be it rocks n biomedia like BactKing,biosphere,ceramic rings, marinepure block,etc..my recommendation is add in ur rocks (scape properly as to b able to place ur corals) n dose bacteria (follow the instruction of dosing)..u can add in 1 or 2 fish then..cheers n happy reefing

I have used this pellet too for my FOWLR tank..I would feed them occasionally..not all my fishes feed (shd b reason stated by bro tang sohal)..I treat this as a precaution..so far no ill effect..I do feed my fishes the HEX shield occasionally too..I have a lot left too..Reefer who want to try n get some from me too..Ick & HEX shield both r 1mm pellet..I live in woodlands

Bro, wc with fresh water is unless u want to lower ur tank water SG (not a proper way to do oso as if SG drop too drastic will crash ur tank)..normal wc is to use NSW or salt mix water..cheers

Hi bro, what's ur water SG? Too low SG will not have skimmate..so far ur fishes n corals doing fine? Imho, ur tank is deep n u can scape higher as the top of ur tank look empty n bare..the feel is like everything is on the floor..no offence yea
