  1. Thanks for the reply. It's for denitrification as well as critters for the fish to forage. I'm slowly building up the bed. Right now it's about 4" in the front and 5" in the back. I'll probably stop at 6" in the back and 5" in the front. I made the classic rookie mistake of getting a sand sifting star which is going back to the LFS today, but now I need replenish. I can try changing out one of my LRs which sounds like a good idea but many of the books also talk about seeding. I just don't know how to get seeding sand without risking aiptasia and other nasties. Any suggested LFS for LR that don't involve going out to the CF?
  2. Does anyone know what type of red macro algae Iwarna uses in their tanks to feed the tangs? Thanks
  3. Hi I just added some more sand to make a DSB. Do you have any suggestion where I can get some seed material to kick start the DSB? I'm referring to healthly sand with pods, mini stars, etc which is free from parasites. Thanks!
  4. Has anyone spotted Gracilaria or Botryocladia?
  5. Thanks. Do you know the specific type of Pocci? Also, what are the lighting / flow requirements? Thanks again
  6. This appears to be a pocci, but can someone give me more specific info. Thanks!
  7. Hey bros, Please help me ID this wrasse. I believe it is either a Red Head Solon Wrasse or a Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse. Thanks!
  8. Thanks bro. I'll look for a fat one
  9. Hey bros I noticed that many reefers have Flame Angels and yet many references say that they nip on corals. Are they reef safe or not? Assuming that some of them are reef safe, are there any tricks to finding a reef-safe one? Thanks
  10. Nice vids bro. On your travels did you see any white belly wrasses or small stylo colonies?
  11. Hey bro. I did see it. Very nice. It definitely seems like the way to go. Life's too short for temperamental fish.
  12. Excellent. Thanks. I've heard a lot of horror stories about the 6 line going Rambo and so the pink streak seems like a better bet.
  13. Has anyone seen any Pinkstreaked Wrasses? Or if not, maybe a 6 line? Thanks
  14. Hi, These fish came along with a tank I recently bought second hand. Please help me ID. Thanks!
