Dear all,
I believe you may have seen this kind of post for many times and I also feel a bit embarrased to ask some really simple questions while I am planning to setup a new marine tank.
Here it is my plan.
Tank: I am asking quotation from N30 to custom make a 60x60x40cm (10mm) braceless cabinet tank with sump. After reading much, I decided to go for a proper cabinet tank instead of using my canister filters. Is such tank dimension alright? May I know if I should use the overflow thingy hanging at the side of the tank?
Pump: Eheim 1260
Media: I am going to buy some bacteria house to place them into the sump and buy the magical mud for the refugium. I havent looked into it for much details. Just know that it is providing much nutrient to the tank
Skimmer: Tunze 9002.000 DOC Skimmer
Light: I have a aquazonic T5 4 tubes. May I know what light tubes I should change to? And is LED light is as effective as T5? If so, which one would be ideal for an econmic budget?
Wave maker: Tunze sth sth.. forgot the model, it should be less than $100
Chiller: I bought one 2nd hand Arctica 1/4.
I read that a lot of people are using reactors and it seems to me that there are many types of them. May I know if the setup I planned above is enough for me to keep some fishes, soft corals and shrimps?
I may have neglected a lot of things as I am still new and I do not want to spend a lot on this.
Thank you all in advance.
