I don't think you need to be a vegetarian to be humane. The life of a fish is no less that of a dog or cat if you have actually respected it as a living thing.

You'll need an overflow box, a sump, return pump, filter media, skimmer. And not to forget, you'll need to get your pipings done properly too. Like what most bros said, more homework should have been done. Impulse decisions are often costly ones. With the money you've spent + some more you need to spend to make a sump. You could have engaged a good tank maker and gotten a really sturdy cabinet, a good display tank with sump and pipings, and definitely a peace of mind. Now you gotta worry whether the glass is thick and strong enough for marine. Suggest you measure your glass thickness first bro.. Don't invest more and end up display tank give way..

Bro, yours is a fairly new tank. Diatoms (brown algae) are normal. Getting some more turbo snails should help you a little. Don't take your rocks out to boil, you'll kill it and all the bacteria thats already in there. Then you have to re-cycle the tank again, and longer this time. What water are you using for your top up? You should stock a little slower though.

Thanks for the heads up bro.. I think this one no choice gotta use net leh.. Cause the overflow after siphoning out the water will be so deep down.. In fact.. net also got problem man.. haha.. But yup! most of the LFS I see all use sifters.. Or be as skillful as Henry, just use a box/small guppy tank.. haha

Thanks for the advise! just wondering if I use the siphoning method, when I turn off my return pump, will the fishes get sucked into the pipe down to the filter wool area? Haha..

Thanks bro. I think I'll try the siphoning one. But I'll needa get a new siphon first. Haha.. old one spoilt a couple of weeks back. I hope the fishes can wait. Meanwhile I'll drop some food in for them. Hmm.. I don't exactly have agressive fishes. Whats inside now are a school of chromis, a flame hawk, a melanurus wrasse that just stays at the bottom under a the shade of a rock, a pair of picasso. Thats it.

Anyone got any advise how to get my fishes out of the overflow area? My cleaner wrasse and 1 chromis got in there and I can't get them out.. Quite hard to maneuver in there due to the pipings.. I tired a small net but of course with the limited space, I won't win the fish's agility. Any advise? Thanks!
