  1. Do water change and slowly reduce salinity to 1.018. Drop by 0.002 per day Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  2. Stop all carbon dosing and with air pump plus weekly water change, short term without skimmer you should not be too concern. Thought you getting the skim beckett skimmer? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  3. I am guilty of that too. I have a spare dosing channel, will do the same too. Thanks for the brilliant idea. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  4. I drop reefing 8 years ago due to financial reasons. Now I am back stronger and the tank also grew bigger and nicer. Morale of the story, enjoy n learn from the process and not the end result. In life, priorities can change Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  5. Ok thanks Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  6. That's a good idea for slow and steady acclimatisation especially sps corals Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  7. Any idea where can I buy skunk or clean shrimps at less than $5 / pc? Looking for 20 pcs, size doesn't matter.

  9. Haha, fishes 90% small size. Make fish ball abit wasteful. You want mysis ball? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  10. Waiting for feedback on your new toy
  11. You can engage iwarna services to do a full water change with nsw. Stop adding live stocks and let the tank go through a fully cycle. Marine tank takes time to reach maturity stage, normally about 1 year. You don't need any fancy stuff, just 10% weekly water change and a very slow stock up of corals and fishes. The idea is to give time for the "good bacteria" to grow to take care of the waste created from the live stocks.
  12. Last packet of cheato reserved for bearishcat Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

  15. In that case, stick to current setup but put sand in containers first. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  16. In theory, the last compartment should be top down so that air bubbles wont be carry over to main tank. Your setup looks like reverse. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  17. Daiso should be a good place to find such containers. If u cant get a big correct size one, use two smaller size containers also can. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  18. Nice scaping. Limit the number of corals on the sandbed with look more stunning. That's purely my personal opinion Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  19. This is my guess & analysis, may not be 100% right but you can try. The skimmer from first compartment is correct and it helps to skim the water off nutrients as well as oxygenate the water. But your oxygenate water need to push through the sand in order to reach the third compartment. During this process, the water loses the oxygen content and return back to main tank. I suspect your live stocks die because of the lack of oxygen. Put all the sand in a container and see if it improves. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  20. Saw your sump has 3 compartments. Skimmer, refugium and return with live rocks. Which is the first compartment? Skimmer or live rock? Have you put the sand into a container? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  21. I don't think the death got to do with lowering to 25 degC. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  22. B/S = Bull Shit? Hee! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  23. Yes enough for now. In future u can always upgrade it to 1264 if u think not enough. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
