  1. Brought an extra Mg Salifert test kit then realize I had another.. Used only once. Selling at $20.collection at potong pasir, interested pls msg me at 97606747
  2. Yeah, the puffer is really super cute.. My colleagues' favourite fish! Forever begging for food! Well trained in eating pellets.. Even the small pellets on auto feeder
  3. Nothing to do.. Uploading a random video
  4. Yup, if you are careless, it might! Upgrading is definitely a less headache way to go! If not, get a plug n play nano tank!
  5. If you have existing cabinet to house ur spare tank. You then will probably just need.. A hang on overflow box. Aquamarin should have ready stock. About 100 Acrylic Partitions for your sump design and silicon (if u noe how to DIY) shouldn't cost u more than 30-50 Filter media/ carbon rings/balls live rocks or coral chips. Should cost about 50 You might want to think about getting a skimmer since u are experiencing nitrate issues.. If u are getting corals, then probably chiller If u went a DSB in your sump then probably u might wanna get more sand If you wanna run macro algae like cheato then u would need lights too..
  6. Yup. big pellets! What I did was when I was QTing the porcupine, I only fed pellets, no choice, it will learn to eat.. Now it loves it so much, feeds from hand and even eat e small pellets on my food timer!
  7. If possible, train it to take pellets, mine has been taking pellets everyday Helps them file their teeth too
  8. Not very clear picture but it seems like an aiptasia. Since there's no livestock, you can take it out easily and remove it manually.
  9. It's been a while since I last posted!! Been really busy with work.. Some updates to my office tank.. It suffered a bad cyano outbreak in nov/dec. had 4 overseas trip in that period and was unable to maintain the water parameters properly.. Cyano took away most of my sps.. And also some of my LPS.. Really heart wrenching.. Took a while to nurse the tank back to health. Did a 3 day no feeding and photo period and managed to clear out all the cyano. Also adjusted e photo window and a few water changes. Thankfully, my fishes are all alive, except my clowns.. RIP.. Here's an updated FTS. Separated my new tomini because e YT is whacking it like crazy On a separate note, it's 2014! House is coming! Gonna start planning for new tank! Any recommendation for good tank builders??
  10. Thanks! Although I am really worried e algae might cover e montis n eventually kill them..
  11. yea.. Brightwell kalk 2+.. Been wondering if its the problem.. dosing with diy water bottles..
  12. Hey Guys, Patches of brown algae started to grow on my monti. After a while, it spreads to the other sps around it. slowly, the sps on the right of the tank kena.. and now it is spreading to the left side of the tank.. what do you guys think is the cause of it? Here's a pic taken by my iphone..
  13. Yup agreed! U may start only if u really can't wait. However when e sump comes in, e installation of e pipes n stuff will be a bit inconvenient
  14. Cycling can start without ur sump and skimmer. Get e live rocks n sand n a market prawn n bacteria!
  15. Mix ur nsw to a salinity of 1.023 before pouring in. That's e usual process. U can't really mix salt in next time when ur tank is full of corals n fishes right?
  16. Nsw salinity can be quite low at times. Sometimes abt 1.20 only. So it shd prob measure e salinity of e nsw too. N yes salinity will go up if u top up with nsw. But not much as e evaporation won't be too much. Adding salt mix is what some pple do. Do note u can't keep nsw for many days without circulating e water as there's bacterial in e water. If u keep it for too long there will be die off in e nsw
  17. At the end of a cycle. Nitrate shouldn't be zero. What was ur highest spike in nitrite n ammonia?
  18. Must be the most number of duplicate topics I have ever seen!
  19. 472 Upper Serangoon Rd, Singapore 534509 Golden Octopus. Quite near NEX Mall. At the Junction of Bradell-Bartley Road and Upper Serangoon Road
