Haha yup! Ah Heng from AM taught me so!
-
Finally had the time to set up the FR and Nitrate Reactor that I got from AM! Hope they will be able to keep the nutrients low in the long run! Almost 3 weeks! Can't wait for the tank to complete its cycle!!
-
Thanks Bro!! Ordered my Ati sun power 6x80w already! Waiting for it to come! Softie and lps first until the parameters are stable
-
Haha! Your patience paid off!
-
Spent some time to rescape the other corner too should have more swimming space and more surface area for corals? Sorry for the reflections m, no lights installed yet.. Also tested e water again! Not sure why nitrite is at 0.03ppm but I can have nitrate at abt 5ppm.

Had to post this man! Haha my 1 Hp compressor with titanium coil is finally up! With a elliwell ICPlus 902 digital thermostat! Had put in quite a lot of careful planning to ensure that the chiller fits nicely in the tank without unsightly wires and trunking! The trunking is concealed by the cabinet and runs up beside the overflow Then the trunking runs inside the false ceiling from the living room area to the master bedroom! Exits the bedroom to the balcony and eventually to the Aircon ledge which the compressor is housed together with my original Aircon unit

Any idea when will the wait end??
-
Agreed! It's not the shrimps fault! He's definitely not e murderer! Not guilty:)

Correct method would be too add e sand first then add water. None the less the foam/bubbles will disappear on their own too. U probably need to change ur foam after ur water clears. Cuz it wi be full of sand and choke up ur filter system
-
I also used caribsea in fact 100kg of it.. Took only a couple of hours for the sand to settle. Is ur flow rate still at one bar? Probably need to increase it to increase the filtration rate using ur sock or foam

Don't wait already! Haha AC has stocks coming in right!

Haven't quite made up my mind, but definitely Tangs, gobies and anthias. Some stuff that I am quite sure of already.. Just not sure of the sequence yet.. Because these are my all time favorites 1) Sohal Tang (already reserved at AM) 2) Yellow Tang 3) Blue Tang 4) Flame Angel 5) Midas Blenny 6) Hopefully a pair of Mandarin Gobies 7) 2x Sunburst Anthias 8) 3x Blue eye Anthias 9) Algae Blenny 10) a few Sand sifting gobies 11) a fair of True Percula 12) Maybe a pair of Picasso Clown in my refugium 13) Wrasses and other cleaning crews Also.. wishing for an Archilles Tang too, just not sure if I have the confidence.. But probably if I were to get, will try to make it my first surgeon fish and get it stable first while my water is still 100% disease free..

The process of scaping is fun. Gluing the rocks, not so!! Two tubes of eproxy still not quite enough! Wanted two island layout but ended up with a few more rocks than I expected. Built a few more bridges for the fishes to swim. Any comments or suggestion on the current scape? Not sure if the current layout will have many dead spots.

Likely a mixed reef, probably have to wait for Madpetz opening sales! Thanks alot!
-
Anyway, the tank makers came up to finish up installation. Finally the doors are up! Almost identical to the 3D drawings
-
Thanks guys! Will monitor and switch when the rust sets in.. Any Bros have also been given these clips from CRA?
-
Just realised, those are stainless steel ones
-
Haha removed Will put either eggcrate or something if the level is not optimal.
-
Forgot about the filter bags! Guess probably will can do it during the next maintenance. Yup, will get the eggcrates (prob no need pvc, it will raise the skimmer a little too high).. last night din have any so had to make do! Haha you're very observant! Anyway, its not a sponge! LOL, its the SKIMZ logo, Thanks for your comments !
-
You're right! Noticed the clips but didn't link to rust! Perhaps I can just replace with cable ties? Haha Too late, the refugium compartment won't be big enough to fit the skimmer.. Got an oversized skimmer, needed a bigger compartment. The refugium was actually meant for me to keep a pair of clowns, DSB probably 2nd priority. Was worried if I put too much sand, the fishes have lesser space to swim Hmm, its going be darker when the doors come in, does it help? Nonetheless, the alternative is to put in some more Bio Rings, but those traps debris too Anyway, yup! Won't lie the LR flat, they are in for cycling only, haven't scape yet CR~ Thanks all for the encouragement and comments!!

Spent the entire day fixing up the tank to kick start the cycling! Hopefully the tank will be cycled before CNY! Rocks shopping at Pacific Reef! Realised I carried almost 300 Kg of goods back on my own!! Tank filling process! Tank Maker is really good No leaks after a few hours - yeah! Means its time to put in the Salt, Sand and Rocks! Love the Bimini Pink livesand by Caribsea!! Here's my sump, hopefully the bio home really works mirales! Bros reading, do share your comments! Finally after 3 hours.. everything has settled and the water is clear again:) Can't wait to start scaping the rocks! Still using the traditional method... Cycling has officially started:p

Hey Fellow Reefers! Been a while since I frequent the forum! Finally, its time to come back! Moving in to my new house! New house also means finally I have space for a bigger tank!! Have been cracking my ID's head with my fish tank's idea and finally decided on this layout! This is the 3D Drawing Contacted one of the favourite tank maker of sgreefclub to help me design and construct the tank. Here's some of the design drawings.. Here's the actual tank! Haha, the fish tank is up earlier then the rest of my furniture

Hi guys, anybody know other than madpetz. Anywhere else I can get their zero Ro/di 5 stage model? Or is this their house brand?? Alternatively, anybody has good recommendations other than crystal pro 3 stage?
