  2. It's me who asked la, lol. Where did u get e 50 micron mesh? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  3. Law, do u use rotifer sieve to harvest rotifer? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  4. It can do that in e DT. But expect many fries to be eaten or lost before u can harvest them. I kept my breeding pair in my isolated refugium too Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  5. I have been thinking of trying that too. But was worried also about the parameters when I transfer the fry. Temp, ph etc. currently I filled e fry tank with tank water just before hatching.. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  6. Seems like a small container. Enuff Rotifers? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  7. At the back corner works too. Is it going to be a one side view or 3 sides? Of cuz u will have to sacrifice a bit of space within e tank. If u enjoy looking at the ripple, I would definitely suggest a shallow tank, but wider width so u have abit more space for corals Never used that pump before. Maybe other reefers can share their reviews on e tunze 1073 Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  8. Nice! U culturing ur own Rotifers? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  9. If you would like to hide some of the equipment, I would definitely suggest a hood. In this way, your wires will also be hidden within the hood. That will save you some headache when your wavemakers and lights' wiring become your aesthetic eyesore. Also, the question about the size of the sump to hold the water volume during an outbreak. It very much also depends on your return pump. Generally, the higher capacity your pump is, the water height will be slightly higher than usual, as it takes more 'time' for the water to overflow. Also, the height of the overflow pipe in your overflow compartment. Also, the sump compartment height. If during normal operation, the water level is lower at 10", chances are, your remaining 22" of your 2 feet sump will be more than enough to hold the excess water. However, I would really advise against a 322 sump. You definitely need more width to fit the sump, you don't want the sump to flush with your DT. Also, you won't want a 2 feet tall sump. Maintenance is gonna be tough, plus that means your cabinet need to be even higher to fit the skimmers and reactors in. Lastly, 4 x 1.5 x 2 might not be that suitable. 1.5 ft might not be able to fit many rocks / corals. A shallow tank might be a better choice. 4 x 2 x 1.5. if its about the overflow compartment, I would then suggest a 3.5 x 2 x 2, with the overflow on the side, perhaps, hidden in a cabinet or hood.
  10. he, usually each pair of clowns have a fixed hatching period. They may adjust their laying eggs schedule abit but each pair should have their unique hatch period. Probably determined by temp, ph and other water parameters. Mine is always on the 10th night after day zero. Another way to determine is e night after the day u find e silver eggs Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  11. Law88 ideally after metamorphosis. That's when it's more stable. I'm thinking the stripe will make it look more like clown fish than fish food to e big brothers.. Haha Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  12. Video of my grow out tank setup. Basically I only have 2 rooms for my fries. One for freshly hatched. One for 2 weeks and older. The grow out tank has a simple hangout filter, par38, mainly blues to prevent too much algae, some porcelain pots for housing, air stone and a fan to cool the water to 27/28 degrees. It houses 4 of my surviving fries.. Hope they last! Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  13. New batch from Sat. Hopefully I have enough Rotifers to keep them happy. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  14. Thanks!! Sad to say my survival rate is very low. Every time left with 1/2 from e batch surviving only Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  15. Might be flatworm infestation Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  16. get a betta box with "movable doors". Open the door and only feed from the betta box. Fishes can remember, surprising well. So you might only have one chance to get it. So, wait till, all fishes are feeding regularly and feeling safe in the box, no qualms about swimming in, feeding, and staying the box for a decent amount of time, then you shut the door when the required fish is inside. Have fun!
  17. 25 day old fry. only caught 3 in his batch but he's the sole survivor. Better luck next few batches! Although he has a pair of picasso parents, he seems to look more platinum than picassos. Lets hope the orange and black comes out more.. Enjoy the short vid.
  18. Very nice scape. Lovely lps too. But I think the scape you have will be even more lovely if it's filled with sps Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  19. Still available? Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  20. All sold. Thanks for the support! Moderator please close thread:) Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  21. Also, for thicker branches. You can use e tip of the cutter to nip of about 1/3 e diameter of the branch. It will be easier to break it and you will still be able to frag it neatly. Cutting the whole branch requires more effort and risk breaking other parts of the colony down or upstream Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  22. Generally reefers change about 20% water weekly[emoji6] Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
