Opened another lala (clam) and found another "crab" residing inside . The alien looking crab already dead as the lala was kept in the fridge. The previous ones were all alive when i first bought the lala! Looks like the eyes were not developed yet...(one minute after this photo was taken....it is already in the mouth of the Harlequin Tuskfish ) Anyway, when I went back to Sheng Siong today, all the lala already sold....think likely the tze char stall already bought them! (i know because my neighbourhood tze char stall staff always frequent SS to buy stock. I guess customers will have addition crustaceans on their dinner plate ) Anyone know whats this alien crab.....

Think it could be the flash that kind of brightens the hue. Anyway....will definitely get another one later on.. Ya...was happy the clam worked....funny thing is after prying open 5 to 6 clams so far.....all came with a mini crab inside!

Hi andyboss, Can buy from those shops that sells everything under sun...usually the shop keeps playing the same announcements that they are selling cheap due to recession blah blah blah.... Anyway I got it from such a shop at Toa Payoh.....the stretch of "shop house" leading to the TPY library.

Just DIY a clip for seaweed. One pack of 24 piece cloth pegs at only$1.40/-, all made of plastic. Tie peg to a PVC pipe and thats it.

close up view during makan session. so far today already eaten 4 clams (lala in hokkien), mostly eaten by the goldie as the rest are well fed first, so that no one competes with the goldie. The funny thing about these clams is that all of them each got a mini crab in it ! I am not sure why but perhaps they are having a symbiotic relation? or is the crab a parasite? Anyway, the crabs are of course finished off by my Harlequin tuskfish

My golden butterfly has not been eating alot since I bought it. Eats only 2-3 mysis per feeding....which is very worrying. Finally today, I tried something to entice it to eat. I believe it could not recognise what is food (eg pellets/home made blended seafood all also dont want) Just to share with everyone here so that u could also try this if you have a goldie that is not eating well ......i use this:

Bro Hammy, I bought the Toyogo from Carrefour during offer, $10 to $11. About 40 to 45 litres. The filter pump was in the sump to cultivate bacteria before using in the QT. The goldie eat quite little, like maybe 3-5 mysis shrimps per feeding. Think must give it sometime....hope for the best.

I agree with what RockyBoy said. The cabinet don't seem to have any "main beams"? Normally, its at 4 corners and 1 at center-front. Main thing is to read up first before starting. Once you have some idea (ie including the intended budget etc), then you can share with us your plans at SRC and many bros here will be glad to advise. Proper cycling of tank is very important and QT is good to have. Take the advice from LFS with a pinch of salt.
