Hi, welcome! Agree with the rest...1 ft is too small for a start. very hard to maintain the desired water conditions..suggest go for a bigger tank, maybe 4 ft. Do read up...lots of info here at SRC!

I agree with Tanga...maybe go for a DI unit and FR for placing Rowaphos.....In my opinion having "good" water conditions is top priority

Hi all reefers, I have checked with Scottscentre. They do sell DI resins in plastic bags and it cost $18/-. Hi, After cycling...wait longer better..they are also sensitive to water quality. You should add live stock very slowly.....or they may not make it due to inmature water

Hi, I started with salt mixed water since i began in this hobby. In my opinion, NSW seems troublesome..need to carry from the LFS to home...also may not be clean etc (maybe other reefers here may have reliable water source) suggest go for DI salt mixed water...just my personal opinion...

Hi, 1 feet is way too small...and in my opinion too unstable. it would be difficult to maintain a consistent water quality/parameters etc.. Either invest in a bigger tank or just have a few hardy fish, such as damsels. : )

Dear reefers, One of my snails shoot out white cloudy liquid earlier and my 4 ft tank was cloudy for a while. Anyone has this encounter before? whats this liquid? Its not snail shit as I have seen them shit before..
