I'm thinking of arcylic. But how should I design the hood so that I can hold the arcylic and the light

Hi guys. Recently I wanna make a new hood. Main reason is to prevent my fish from jumping out. My tank is a braceless one. i was thinking to put egg crate into the hood. And to put a light inside. My tank maker ask me to design it. what u guys think

I feel that you should get a bigger and more powerful skimmer for a tank like your size. Getting 2 small skimmers would not double the effect.
