  2. sorry got to ask... what are the benefits of mangrove to the reef aquarium? i see some reef shops selling though but i am not sure of its benefits.
  3. indeed tunze is another good and cheaper brand to consider. 6015 should do the trick.
  4. i got another noob question, while cycling my tank when i see the prawns no more in the tank should i throw in another set of prawns for my cycling? i haven aquascape my tank yet. i only have a few dead rocks in it. can i add in more dead rocks at a later stage? will it affect the cycling process?

  6. Thanks Ah-lim, I just started this, and i have just started to cycle my tank for about 4 days. The prawn i threw in are left about 30% visible from its original size. I am going to do a fowler tank.

  9. if there is a general rule of one pound of LR per US gallon does it mean that more live rocks will speed up the cycling process?? I am quite new into this as well.. so i had to ask this. i am currently cycling my tank with 2 pieces of dead rocks will that be a problem in the cycling process? will more live rocks speed up the process?
  10. was thinking if lighting is needed during the cycling process or does it help to speed up the cycling process? are there any benefits in doing that?
  11. Are there specific lights say in order of "catalyst" effect blue then red then white which will encourage more algae growth? because when i have 6 tubes of lights i will need to know say 4 blue 1 red and 1 white is a good combi or...?

  13. do we need to turn on the light 24/7 is there a recommendation how long the lights should be switch on and etc on a daily basis? for LPS and SPS
  14. yupz. concur with the fatbike test and see your NO3 and PO4. good if it is kept at a minimum
