    Diy led

SimLim tower led part not much selection and they generally do not know the wave length. There is a shop at level 3 that sells China made led chip $2.5 each (red, green, blue, warm/white). Cree led is also hard to find there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Anyone know if on 25-Dec all LFS open? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Haha, my powder brown is the same. The big bully, the trouble maker. I thought powder brown (acanthurus japonicus) was supposed to be peaceful when researching on Google before purchasing it, but it turned out to be the big bully. Recently put in jail for 1 week and released due to good behaviour but as long as it is released, old habit starts again. Sigh. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. It looks like hypo salinity tank, but marine fish will not live long. For fresh water fish, their organ will need to work harder to pump out salt from their body, so may not live long too. Certain hardy long kang fish may be able to survive. The advertisement is a newly setup tank but no one really know how long that tank can last. Agree that his looks cruel Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Aquarist chamber has quite a number. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Just fortify the nutrient export mechanism then can keep both LPS and SPS happy like what is done by bro James72
  7. Looks like your stand (in the picture) does not support drilling a hole. You can go to hardware store to get aluminum plate that can be slided in your stand. Then drill hole on the plate. Otherwise change the stand to other type of aluminum bar. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. The hanging kit has a anchor nut. So need to drill a hole at the stand for anchoring the nut. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Report to Singapore police as "unauthorized access" and "damaging our property". Found their website that contains the announcement: http://ecotechmarine.com/news/unauthorized-product-asia-market It is right about no warranty support or extra charges if we bring the product to them for repair. But reserving the right to rendering the device unusable, is bullsh*t, I would say. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Check with bro Xiggie Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. They can only do if the device is connected to Internet. However, legally it is not something so easy as they claim they "reserve" the right todo so. Based on which law and what infringement? Is there any court verdict? Otherwise we can report this to the Singapore police as an "act of unauthorized access". First, they will need to register their trade mark and patent in the local country. They will need to proof that there is patent infringement or trade mark infringement and request for disposal of product for imitated product. For unauthorized import, they will need to appoint a local "exclusive" distributor. In such case, the most they can do is to only provide support to their own distributed product. Parallel import is not patent infringement nor exclusive license infringement in Singapore. In parallel import there is no patent infringement. The product itself is not a counterfeit. It is not even considered violation of the distributor exclusive rights. Read here: http://www.accountlaw-tax.com.sg/Website_tlc/ws-parallel%20import.htm We must know our right and not be bullied. In patent infringement case, it is even legal to counter sue on "baseless threat" when we have the right but a party threaten us (http://www.taylorwessing.com/synapse/ip_patentinfringement.html). Btw, the IT Law course at NUS ISS is really good. It gives better picture on intellectual property law and contracts what is allowed, what is not; some essential base knowledge we need to have in this knowledge economy. It was jointly conducted by Koh Chia Ling (http://www.twobirds.com/en/our-lawyers/c/chia-ling-koh1), a brilliant lawyer I would say, who handles Anime download copyright infringement case few years back. He appears in Channel News Asia talk few days back on BitCoin. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Haha, bro, growing from frag for tank of such size will really test your patience, LOL. Some SPS grows fast but some are really slow (I am really "peck check" with such coral). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Any LFS with jaw fish (any type)? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Another option: Buy all dead rocks. Get the cycling done. Then buy a piece of small live rock full of Coraline algae and then grate the Coraline algae at high flow area (turn off skimmer), let the Coraline grates spread. In few weeks you should notice Coraline start growing everywhere. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  17. wow.. bro Slayer123, reporting up to HK [emoji106] where are HK Sea life and Ho Hoi located? I could not find good marine shops at the goldfish market during my trip in August.

  20. Bro You can buy coarse coral chips for CR, put it at the spot it is already building home. I tried and it worked. Mine was a black head jaw fish. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Anyone know which LFS sells Atman ph 2000 pump? I want to replace my calcium reactor pump as it is getting noisy with grinding noise. Went to Nanyang Seaview but they do not sell. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. I was advised by bro Fuel, not to mix wild clownfish with farm bred clownfish. Most of the time the wild clown carry brooklynella. Apparently there is no medication for brooklynella other than the fish immune system (stress free and eat a lot). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Anyone knows if there is good t5 fixture for just 1 tube? Or need diy? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
