  4. Bro, For potassium and iodine/iodate I only test for the sake of knowing if my tank generally is deficient or not. I will try to dose a little bit if deficient, but since these 2 params are a bit leceh to test, I do not try to keep them in the normal range. The dosing is just like adding few table spoon of potassium powder during water changes or few drops of Iodine any other day if deficient. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. For me: KH - 1-2 times a week Mg, Ca, Salinity - once a week, before water changes (time to correct if deviated) NO3, PO4 - once in a while Potassium, I2 - once in a blue moon (wasted my test kit) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Bro, If the birdnest thrives, e.g color is pink for pink birdnest, growth is visible and getting faster. It indicates that the water should be good for more demanding SPS. My personal experience with many SPS in limited volume system is stability of the parameters. My nano was 90L and when the SPS growth went crazy, the tank dKh can fluctuate a lot; there was just not enough buffering capability by that small amount of water. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Just some tips: * Make sure the tank temperature max. 28c * Ensure that you have good intense light. * Check your KH and Calcium. Ensure it is in good range e.g. KH 7 to 10. Ca 420 - 450. Then keep it that way as stable as possible. * Ensure you got low Nitrate and Phosphate all the time. It is a challenge if you keep fish in such small tank. * Start with most forgiving SPS like montipora and birdnests.

  9. I use Daiso tea bags to contain activated carbon before putting in my sump. Also to contain DI resin for generating DI water filtering.

  16. Bro hideaki From my 2 times experience, both bought from Ah Beng ate Aiptasia greedily. Only those un-reachable that remained. Those exposed ones were totally gone. When no Aiptasia anymore, they may sometime nip as clam mantle or polyps; mine even started eating pellets I intentionally dropped on the sands. I let it live in my tank despite it nipped at my clam mantles. It was my Aiptasia hero and they deserve continue to be kept. Too bad few weeks back, it got sucked by my Mp60 (sigh, 3 fishes RIP already by this wave maker). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
