  1. Gonio depending on type. This type in this thread is very hardy and last long from my experience. Other time that has thinner smaller tentacles with nicer color do not last long. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  2. Canon brand, 100mm f2.8 macro used to be around $700 few years back (brand new). Pasar malam probably sell around $400-$500. Combined with Kenko macro extension is super good for macro. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  3. Yes, experience the same here, Mike. My 1 inch green chromis keep bullying and chasing my new anthias. Plus another super bully; a 6 line wrasse. Need some diy transparent trap to trap them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  4. Heng ah. Thanks for sharing. As a precaution, never open multiple tabs on browser when checking webmail, internet banking, etc. It is very easy to steal information especially if the website is not property developed securely. Always just use 1 single session at a time. Also never download and run any executable files especially from untrusted site. The best way is to have different virtual machine for different purpose e.g. different VM for downloading/ playing games, different VM for internet banking and personal emails checking. 7. Cool bro. Any idea, where can buy that kind of transparent acrylic? Need some diy to trap a wrasse. I hate my 6 line wrasse that bully the smaller inhabitants Want to catch and imprison it for now. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  8. I think the main components that affect the ocean current should be affected by the tidals (2x a day), the world ocean current flow (there is certain pattern affected by the earth rotation, temperature), and also the weather. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks dr. Evil Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  10. About return flow, it actually depends on what we want to do. For nutrient export like deep sand bed, macro algae, etc. we need slow flow. The Italian guy who owns Elos tank maker during this year MACNA said that it is a fallacy to say that return pump has e.g. to be 10x per hour . Contradicting to this, for nutrient export we want a slow water movement. I tend to agree with his argument. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
  11. Bigger chiller needs higher flow. If the oversized is too over later the tank flow rate becomes too high. Also when too oversize the temperature decrease too fast, e.g. 1 celsius degree in 5 - 10 mins. Not sure how bad or good for the live stocks. Ideally we want gradual increase or decrease and not a spike. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

  19. There is an article writer in Marine magazine who uses tab water (dechlorinated) for LPS and they are doing good. I forgot in which issue he discussed it. I think he has standard nutrient export in place. Singapore water is better that many western countries. If I measure my tab water using my TDS I got around 70 to 100 range. In the US it could go as high as 400. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
