Generally, got to introduce/make sure some fear factor to induce schooling. Else when feel safe they won't school. Tangs are territorial but we see them school in open ocean (I just watched Maldives reef on YouTube and can literally see Adult PBT school together). Schooling - must be the kiasi factor Bully/Fight - must be the kiasu factor Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Being in fishes & equipment from Hong Kong

Our problem with price is due to Singapore being a small market. If we are big market, they can cut down price and still earn from the sale volume. Just seeing the magnitude of the LFS in HK or Jatujak alone we can sense the size of the market compared to ours. Sigh... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Yes sometimes the resin smell foul especially after fully used (need resin change). Probably due to it has absorb all those impurity from the tab water. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

The pulsing is for helping with its photosynthesis. I think it was recently solved mystery on why it is pumping. The movement helps in the molecules exchange during photosynthesis. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

It could be pesticide on the pillow like what happened in a hotel in Changi Mai about 1 - 2 years ago. There are a lot of insects and if they use those to kill and repel but the residue will be toxic. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Thought of sharing what I found. Recently managed to fix my spoilt unit due to the broken motor driver. Went to Simlim tower and bought the replacement part, in solder existing one and replaced it. 1. To open the unit, flip and unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom side. 2. The circuit inside is quite simple. The heart of the unit is the Microchip PIC 16F877A microcontroller that controls the display, buttons and timers. It uses transistor array IC ULN2003a to drive the motor. There are 2X of this. Therefore it should be able to actually drive up to 14 motors. We can see 2 female sockets on the board for extending the pump units. It uses a button cell battery to keep the settings and clocks running when out of power supply. Actually prices are somewhat seasonal. It depends on supply and demand. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

It is super expensive. just look at the price at Amazon. Price is one thing. Another thing, to mix 1.026 SG of a pail of water I need almost 2x the amount compared to NeoMarine salt. So all in all, it is much more expensive although it is a good salt. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Anyone knows the name of this fish? Apologies for the slightly blurred picture. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Mine has so far just nipping algae on the tank wall and the rocks (not sure what it eats from the rocks). I think (just my guess) when the things it currently eat is scarse it will try alternative (which is corals). Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
