  1. Anyone tried this method to monitor your reef tank when you are unable to view it due to work or long hour away from home? If you do, do you have any webcam to recommend for reefing? Many thanks in advance.
  2. Read something about phosphate and phosphorus in water. The latter cannot be detected by our PO4 test kit and can cause algae growth. Also read that sometime algae also trap detritus and nutrients and feed on them without any trace in water.
  3. Usually in home aquarium, it just die off after finishing the algae as there is not enough algae supply. I am also tempted to get one but in the phase of reading up. Bro qianjun, what do u feed it with after it serves it's purpose?
  4. Use to game. Although not into Dota, last pic reminds me of Dota somehow. Actually, true.. I'm having alternative tank where my weekly water changed(from DT) will be use for my fowlr where there are my livestock. Haha. The cold palace. :X
  5. My question mark too. that time I noob never ask more. That's like 1-2 yrs back
  6. Try calling the shops to check Aquamarin? Polyart also sells marine stuff. Henry at Marine Life? Oh saw ur c354. Ooops
  7. I go home see if I can find any info on the box.
  8. For the time being since you are upgrading in 6mths and it's fowlr, imho I find actinic and white is better for a balance. Some fish looks nice in actinic. Anw, good choice for bh1000. Despite being huge, it's really awesome!!!!
  9. Angelfish are known to nip at corals and caution must be taken when keeping 1 with your corals. It may not nip in previous tank but decided to nip in new tank for whatever reason we may know. My half guess is your bicolor or yellow angel fish.
  10. Bro, since you are not keeping coral, then lighting not so bad. I was using aquazonic superbright extendable marine type. Cost about 60plus for 50cm at c328 (since u would be very familiar with FW lfs). Once u get ur bigger tank, you may want to invest in maxspect or AI hydra if not wrong. These LED will gives u good control over light intensity and in case u want to keep coral, they will bring out the color of ur coral better due to the control u have.
  11. Voila! And don't over add in 1 shot. Sudden surge in bioload can mess ur tank too. But I suppose cleaner crew's waste not so scary.. just an advice that I heard from past experienced reefer.
  12. All the best!!! I started 1ft 38 litre tank, up to 2.5ft and as per what tofubox shared, I really wasted more $$ without the knowledge.. I now prefer my 2ft where I learn within my budget. ^^
  13. I once saw my neighbor transporting a shallow tank and when I asked, he say that's he's keeping octopus. Not sure but I do appreciate shallow tank. They reminds me of snorkeling experience while deep tank more like diving. ^^
  14. Wow.. the last picture makes me feel like I'm in some game world going to complete some quest. Looking good! Bro Bunster, I think 1 tank not enough!
  15. Thank you! Trying to make it better As long as they are healthy, we are happy ^^ Thanks for the advice! Will keep a lookout for such damage.
  16. True Percula hosting Purple TIp Green body torch love both the beauty picture not as clear as these following are from note3 camera

  18. getting some shots of true percs hosting torch and alveopora. "I shy la..." "huh?"
  19. thanks bro! trying to improve on it. this piece was extending at lfs but refuses to open in my tank.. picky fussy yet beautiful piece.... I just tried to relocate it. the area I placed have pretty strong flow and good light at peak. maybe it just doesn't like the spot. gonna try some sheltered area and see how.
  20. Some weekend update shots. Test hosting on a torch: Torch extending further, Goniopora not very responsive.
  21. All the "swee swee bo zao zui"(awesome fantastic) tanks.
  22. Totally agree. My first Anemone was a disaster in tank when it died. Same for my elegance. Managed to remove 2nd Anemone before it dies. Rather sacrifice 1 than to wipe out all.
  23. Mine didn't make it after it stops feeding.
