  2. i don't know but did your tank gone through the cycling? there does not seem like any algae for a 3 months old tank.
  3. Thank you bro. Just sharing my experience on building a diy led for those interested.
  4. hi all. I need help with contact to make custom led light stand for my diy led. if you have any contacts please share with me.
  5. Lastly, my led light layout. And also the messy cabling done by me. Test drive the lighting just now. I would say it really bring out the color of the fishes and coral. But I am still trying to look for a stand for this led. Once I have get it up, will update you guys again.
  6. This is how it looks like connecting the power supply to the makersled board. The makersled board comes with 5 channel for used. You can also connect a fan to the board itself.
  7. This is the meanwell S-240-48 power supply. For those who does not know how to attach it to a power plug, can take a look at the picture above. Just grab any unused power cable. Based on the connection on the power plug, connect it accordingly to the ground, neutral and fused connections. The 2 white wires, on the left is the positive input to the makersled board, and the other is the negative input to the makersled board.
  8. I ain't any electrical guy and soldering is not my cup of tea. So I went for the easier way but you have to pay say 0.10 - 0.30 cents more for the led to get the solderless option. I also feel that the solderless option allows you the scalability to expand your lighting in future. 8 x Royal Blue (Cree XT-E) 2 x OCW (Blue, Cyan, Deep Red) 4 x Nichia Neutral White (CRI > 90) 4 x Hyper Violet (430nm) You can see that one of the solderless led came defective. Lucky there is still the soldering point available at the top which I went ahead with the option. 5 x 700ma LDD driver (can drive up to 14 leds per channel)
  9. I have finally gotten my led parts for DIY yesterday and completed building it today. As promised, will show some pictures and maybe some guides that I would like to share with you guys who are interested in doing it. Overall the items I have gotten costs me around $520 sgd. I know you guys may think that it is not worth the money since those branded LED lights costs around the same price or even cheaper. But to me it is the sense of achievement and also customizability.
  10. want to try to get a buyer for my par38 first while I wait for my diy led items to arrive from the states. 6:6 royal blue:cool white. selling at $70. comes with gooseneck. interested buyer please WA / sms me at 97326601. do note that it will be around another week before my stuff comes.

  14. anyone knows where can i have or customize stainless steel light stand? am looking for one for my upcoming DIY led. just to know I am unable to clamp the stand to my table. so it has to be independent of itself.
  15. finally I have decided to take the plurge into building my own DIY led for my nano with future of expansion in mind. got all my stuff from ledgroupbuy because they currently have 10% off and am too tired to go into programming the controller, so since they got a controller with 5 channels might as well make use of it. items I have got after doing some research. 4 x Nichia Neutral White HIGH CRI LED 4500K 90CRI 8 x Solderless CREE XT-E Royal Blue 2 x Solderless Ocean Coral White (Consists of RGB for supplement) 4 x Solderless Hyper Violet LED - 430nm 1 x MakersDRIVER 5UP Pro - Drive up to 70 LEDs! 1 x Makers CONTROLLER - Sunrise / Sunset controller for MakersDRIVER I know the number of leds are overkill. Because because most of it are solderless, I can remove it almost easily. Can't wait for my items to arrive. Will update again the process of me making my DIY led.
