I don't know how big is your tank but you have at least 5 tangs inside. I suspect the environment is too hostile and disease outbreak happens as tangs are aggressive to each other. I suggest not to put so many tangs inside your tank.

Vinegar dosing is only effective to reduce nitrate and not phosphate right? I was told phosphate have to use GFO like rowa.

Thanks for the comments so far. Whatever they are (zoas or palys), they are non-luminous, non-attractive ugly ducking. I just want to make sure that they are indeed hitch hiker and not my zoas turn into these ugly ducking because of water parameter or parasite. The next question is how to get rid of them? Do I apply joes juice or something on them?

I bought a rock of zoas and they are green zoas. After putting in my tank for 2 weeks, I was shocked to see some of them turned into ugly ducking (circled). Anyone has this experience before? Some told me they may be hitch hiking zoas that came out after purchase. Some told me these may be burned by aiptasia. Which is true? This doesn't happen to the other zoas I bought but just this rock. Pls help. Thanks.

My DSB was external inside the sump. It was around 6 inches. Took 2 toyoga tub to get them out. My tank has shallow sand bed. Also one toyogo tub. 1" is not DSB lah. Hehehe. U siphon out your sand bed or just do siphoning to clean the sand bed?

Wow nice car bro. I spent last night siphoning my sand bed. Until now still milky and I still have 20% sand inside the tank. Very hard to get them all out unless I take out all LR. Sianzzzz !!!!
