Thanks to Bro Xeneryx for introducing CR aquarium. The guy came over this evening. He is very experience and very detail. Best part is the charges is very reasonable.
They are definitely on top of my list when I rebuild my new tank. Bravo to CR aquarium !!!
Unlikely to be bacteria boom unless it is triggered by something else. Water change water turns a little cloudy is common. Was your newly mixed water cloudy or crystal clear before you change?
My tank overflow box into the sump started leaking. I suspect is due to my recent changing of pump and I accidentally shaken the old silicon.
Any bro know whether anyone or company do repair on tank?
This phenomenon not only apply to algae scrubber. It also apply to the use of GFO such as rowa on rock that have been exposed to high PO4 before.
My po4 in tank was 5ppm. I have used a lot of rowa and managed to bring it down to 0.12ppm. The rock still have some algae but slowly disappearing.
The point is that the rock serve as reservoir for po4. The moment my rowa start to exhaust, the po4 starts to climb.
I'm using the Razor 300w. No complaint really like it alot. Only problem is i have bracing on top and how i wish i can adjust the position of the led to avoid the bracing.
Agree that the center overflow look a bit distracting. It looks like it is splitting the tank in 2. Any chance to redo the overflow? Mine is 6ft and overflow is on one side.
That's the instruction according to the manual. I tried either way and not much difference. I think it is trying to prevent you from having bacteria bloom by skimming out the excess bacteria.
Why dont you use the pvc t-connector instead. Proven and will not leak. From eheim 1262, just buy a 20mm male connector (cost a dollar or 2), and then buy a pvc t-connector. That's how i do for my tank. My eheim 1260 is feeding the chiller and FR.
Bro, sorry miss this thread. Hanna meter is the way to go if u want accurate reading.
Rowaphos usually come in 5000ml, 1000ml, 500ml. Not sure where is the cheapest though.
I saw one of the corporate customer (happen to be my supplier) of Iwarna is using 2 x skimmers. Both of them have very thick skimmate. I'm also thinking to do the same as the bigger skimmer cannot go into my sump tank due to poor design.
Live rocks don't leach no3, only po4. Unfortunately the only way to tell is water testing. Wat are your reading now for po4 and no3?
If u don't feed anything to your tank and you run rowaphos but your po3 doesn't drop, your rock is leaching po4
