  1. Wah so fast. Many fast hand fast leg people here. Lol
  2. Very nice tank and truly inspiring. A lot to learn from you.
  3. I was told by Ken of Madpetz that the all-in-1 bio pellet actually incorporate the GFO into the pellet. So when the starch get consumed by the bacteria, the GFO is slowly released and absorb the phosphate. The GFO particles are then picked up by your skimmer same like the bacteria. I was using NP biopellet before switching to the all-in-1. Before that, my skimmate is lighter in tone. After switching to all-in-1, I realized the skimmate color is darker. I believe this is due to the GFO. Don't ask me whether it is effective or not as I have just started using it. Only time will tell.

  12. I mix the polyps booster with reef roid, oyster egg, mysis shrimp and feed to my coral. Is this ok?
  13. Very true. Vitamin L is probably one of the most important. If you accidentally introduce all the pest (aptasia, bubble algae, nudibranch, etc.). You will be struggling all the way.
  14. I will give my opinion and hopefully don't get attacked by the bros here. I'm a newbies even though I have been reefing for 10 years. If you want to know if bioballs work or not, go to AM and see their 2 magnificent display tanks. Ask for permission from Ah Heng before opening up the cabinet below and you will find each with a chamber of bioballs. Firestarter is right to say that there are 3 basic types. Mechanical, biological and chemical (in the following order). I cannot agree more with the word "in that order". It is important to deploy mechanical filter (like cotton wool and socks and replace them regularly) to remove the debris so that they don't get trapped in the biological filter and start to decay in the biological filter. The biological filter is supposed to do it's job and convert ammonia to nitrite and subsequently nitrite to nitrate. That's when the refugium and/or biopellet reactor comes in and consume the nitrate. So if properly deployed, the filtration system is supposed to remove the waste at each and every stage of the nitrogen cycle. That's just my personal opinion. Like This Quote MultiQuote

  17. Bro, After seeing your tank, I can see u have the skill and knowledge of a true reefer. It is sad to see you leave. Hopefully it is just temporary. Keep in touch and all the best.
