  2. Its called a Fondue; its available at the Haagan Daz outlet in Holland V for a while now. But do expect smaller portions than the one you see in picture, priced below $20 if I remember correctly. Bring a lady friend, she'll love it
  3. benheer, That is rather impolite reply. A simple, 'I don't think so', or 'maybe you can consider checking with CITES or any relevant website' will do.
  4. SPCA is a good place to start. They have lots of pedigree dogs, even Golden Retrievers and Huskies. So what happened to them?
  5. If it looks anything like the picture below, it might be a Leopard Blenny (Exallias brevis). It feeds on coral tissues, particularly Acropora, Pocillopora, Seriatopora, Porites, and Millepora.

  8. As promised I obtained permission from the Admin of DoggieSite Forum to post an extract of their Warning against posting of defamatory nature. Extract from DoggieSite.com: ===================================================== Netizens, let this be a warning LAWYERS advise that netizens should be careful with what they post on the Net. Mr David Rasif said: 'This case should warn people that going on the Net is not as anonymous as it seems.' Lawyer Zero Nalpon added that those who post defamatory messages on the Internet face legal action and damages because others can read the messages. He said: 'The affected person face a loss of reputation because the remarks are told to a third party. It is not defamatory if the person had made the remarks directly to the affected party.' Lawyer Mervyn Tan said exchange of defamatory remarks within the local pet business, especially among aquarium fish owners, was common but he had not heard of any such case brought to court. He said: 'Internet discussion forums are not the avenue to vent frustration or grievances. Often, the affected parties get better compensation when they discuss the matters directly with the people concerned.' Ms Jeanny Ng advised people to seek legal advice before posting an angry message on the Internet. She said: 'That will save them a lot of time and trouble.' ===================================================== Doggiesite has experience in matters like these, and have on board their team a Legal Moderator which should give them better credibility.
  9. Its simple, they want to be known as a martyr Unless you want to touch on Bushido in the case of the Kamikaze pilots (Divine Wind), then its a different ballpark
  10. You mention 'fact', question is, can you prove if WESSBOND and AquaZ Epozy is the same? Truth is, I am biased, but biased against members, new/old, who are unable to support their claims. Giving the Moderation Team lots of headaches having to mediate between the two. We have only that amount of time to spare in between jobs, family and running the Forum. Secondly, I am also biased against business who engages in smear campaign. And I am public on my personal anti-smear campaign, its just a reciprocal action against an outwardly obvious action. Now, I reiterate, can you prove your claims?
  11. I have to remind all to refrain from publicly publishing possibly defamatory information unless you are prepared with appropriate evidence, from independent sources if possible, to support your case. www.doggiesite.com has a reference thread on matters of this nature, I will seek permission from their Admin before providing a link. For those interested, you can visit the DoggieSite forum.
  12. Since this might be another one of those thread from a smear compaign, I guess it warrants my presence. Why is it always a new member or inactive members who are so willing to share information? On a separate note, can it be proven on paper that these 2 products are the same?
  13. ReDDeviLs, hope you don't mind me tagging along. Your sale will take priority of course. I have 04 x 375g packs to let go too. Collection at Bishan.
  14. Any form growth is a result of orthophosphate uptake; whether organic or inorganic, is still very much is question. However, you can consider any form of micro or macroalgae growth as a form of nutrient export. Is it coarse and stringy to touch, or soft and flacid? If its corase & stringy, I know of a very experienced hobbyist who uses these for nutrient export to good effect. Tough as nails and grows like weed. If its soft & light, suggest you don't use it since it weight indicate low uptake and is possible that it break away from the colony and colonise other parts of the tank. Actually IMO Chaetomorpha sp. is too overrated. I have experimented with almost all available macroalgae available locally, including the Chaetomorpha sp.. Ulva lactuca and Caulerpa racemosa gave me the best results. Those who received them free from my harvest will testify to that. However, tank conditions vary from one to another, a good source would be from fellow hobbyists tanks. Tank acclimitised macroalgae will have proven results and better survival rates.
  15. Ryan, Since you're a pal, I will advice you to check the package correctly. Apparently, there are rumors that there might be bootleg versions of Marine Environment salt under a different company with similar packaging. You can refer to the link below: http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146926 Or simply search under 'Aquacraft'. Good Luck to you during your National Service
  16. Thanks Rex, you just won me a bet ... maybe a keg or two, of beer of course It is getting too predictable these days ... think I need a new challenge. It was a calculated risk of being implicated when I stood out for Oceanic, since I did do a review of it. If that is the case, I should be partner for Eaquanature and SeaQuest too. Those who know me are aware that I have no interest in business, neither do I need the money from that. My interest is in promoting independence of though, protection of earth resources for out children, among other things. I am however against protectionism and unethical business practices. Most here know of it, but are somewhat unwilling to speak up. So here I stand, fighting for the underdogs, a more polite term would be, the new entrants. I thank you for extracting the definitions of 'forum' from an online dictionary, the second of which, would be more than sufficient. And as such, I am also free to share with readers the fact that efforts to discredit certain brands under the mask of sharing of information must be taken into consideration as well.
  17. I am increasingly annoyed by member supporter of businesses, or business owners using SRC, a hobbyist forum as a propaganda tool against competitors / competing brands. Protectionism while in practice is in bid for self-preservation, it is in my books, not an ethical business practice. More choices for consumers, and give the underdogs a chance !!!
  18. Rex Ng, Just wondering if you have a different agenda by posting about Oceanic Salt and/or other products? I did a search on your previous postings. First you questioned DT on its diluted form on the Feb 2 in "DT live marine phytoplankton, so watery,is it diluted?". Shortly after, slammed Aquaz Phyto on Feb 4 in "Where to buy 'live' phytoplankton ?, is that what we call DT?". Also contradicting yourself by praising DT is good, after using it for 2 days? I ask a fair question, so if this thread is intended as an honest sharing of information, I should also point out that threads like this might be intended to discredit competing, or new brands entering the local market.
  19. I've been using Oceanic Salt for 2 months now, no problems so far. You can read my review here. Since I do not have access to a spectrometer or a full range of testkits, my tests were limited.
  20. Thought I heard there was a thread about, here's my African Flameback, and a nosy resident catching a little of the limelight.
  21. Well, I suppose DeepBlue wrapped this baby up pretty well. Most of us have sinned, and some repented, we tend to our flock as well as we can from now on. I'd would certainly like to see threads like: "How much electricity have I saved from re-evaluating my aquarium power consumption"; and "How I run a fully equipped reef tank on a 500va UPS for 9.5hours" Now wouldn't that be the day?
  22. Hi Peter, Welcome to the Singapore Reef Club. Thanks for dropping by, and to the person who invited you over. So it seems the gressingeri is more suited for low light specie-only tank, at the hands of experienced keepers. We are also trying to pool our knowledge in an attempt to better understand and perhaps discern some gender specific physical characteristics and/or behavourial pattern. Since you have a pair sharing the same burrow, do you or Rudie have any input on that? Thanks. With Regards, Rumor
  23. This topic has swerved off-track a couple of times focusing on yet again, equipment, then back again, thanks to a few participants. Its a 'wakeup call' for those who are not in the know, or those who are still in the state of denial of what they are doing are actually 'good' and/or responsible. You can call it whatever you like, but its the ###### truth. This topic may have pricked on some conscience, I should be upfront that this is not intended to target anyone, so I will implore all to view this with an open mind. Personally, I'd say screw the misguided fools and let them part with their money, while dealers line their pockets and ready the 'Next Big Thing'; but its the livestock attrition which concerns me. While a hobby should be appreciated and shared amongst the kindred, it should however not be at the expense of others, particularly mother nature. I will reiterate that the key: 'Stop trendy reefkeeping and exploitation by livestock merchants'
