  1. You have a pair of lovely Escenius Gravieris I was tempted on several ocassions to buy one but am a little concerned if they decide move into the Coco worm's tube, if you know what I mean. Do monitor their movement ya?
  2. Some of them do exhibit great colours and unique character. They are kept in a Seahorse / Gobies tank so they can show me all they got Lets see some of yours Fuel
  3. According to a number of websites, it will eat filamentous algae (aka the pest Hair Algae). Here's an extract from FishBase.org: "Stomach contents of one specimen comprise of filamentous algae, harpaticoid copepods, ostracods, amphipods, and nematodes" It certainly is picking off the new algae buds on the rocks, and even sifting the sand. Its a great worker
  4. Thanks for the attention ... ADIOS !!!!
  5. This new addition has apparently peaked the Seahorse's interest ... its doing a 'Spiderman' to sneak a peak
  6. PR has some smaller sized individuals which is about 1inch, I took the largest one which is about 2 inches. Just got my second Hector from Edwin Here another frontal shot.
  7. It is a fine fine specimen courtesy of Edwin from Paradiz Reef. You can see its colouration is very distinct. Here's a shot of it with a Banded Goby.
  8. Side profile, notice its similarity to the A. Rainfordi. It has a bluish-black rather than green, with yellow longitudinal stripes and a chain of ocelli from the base of the second dorsal fin to the upper caudal rays.
  9. The Hector Goby (Amblygobius hectori), a hover goby from the Actinopterygii (ray-finned fishes) class which occurs solitarily, hovering a short distance above sandy bottoms of reef bases.
  10. I see a sh*tload of Cyclop-eeze and a couple of Anthias COWA - Cyclop Only tank With Anthiases
  11. Depending on size of tank and its inhabitants, fishes may develop hostility towards new entrants. My Flame Angel will chase Dispars but would leave my Orchid alone. I suppose similarity of colouration does play a part. Sunburst are known to be shy but since its feeding already, its up him/her now to stand its ground.
  12. Its certainly a good idea to remove the coral chips since your tank is already established. Your system will appreciate the additional volume of water as buffer for any fluctuations. Can consider taking the safe route by removing a small portions of it progressively over a few weeks. At least your system can catch up slowly.
  13. Is it Lim Pet's House you bought it from? Owner quoted me $45 which I promptly turned down Its fairly large with nice streamers. Reminds me of the Maoris with their face tattoos. Good Luck
  14. Read in the Weekly report that there is one of the Orange Striped Neon Goby left at MLH, you can call Henry to enquire. Flub, the ones you saw at PR are Hector Gobies (Amblygobius hectori), a hover goby which are excellent additions as they are known to eat hair algae (the buds at least) and cleans the detritus off the rocks.
  15. AlfaRomeo, As Roidan said, bring it to any hardware shop and enquire, they should have them. You do not have to travel far and wide to find the fitting. Get the flexible hose for the fitting while you're at it.
  16. Weileong, You can find a wealth of information at Seahorse.org and a bunch of others if you run a search on the Internet. Good Luck
  17. Is that a Pearly? I'm beggining to understand why you love Gobies. Bought a Hector's Goby (Amblygobius hectori), cute fella from PR. Its a hover goby and is not shy to come out to play. Also eats filamentous algae (Hair Algae etc). Great addition to a nanno tank since it measure no more than 1.5inch. Will post a picture of it by this weekend.
  18. Hi Midnight Angel, Since you're new, I'd just like to remind you to read the guidelines for appropriate postings and descriptive titles. The use of Algone has been discussed before. I'll move this out of the Product Reviews thread and edit the Title to attract better response anyway.
  19. Thanks Day. Think I remember you use to own a Samoyed? Inferred from your previous avatar. Sure, I'm also keen on Nature's Variety dry kibbles and another brand of can food supposedly made of organic food - possum meat (instead of by-products). Have your friend contact me and lets see if we can work something out. Anyone else?
  20. I cut the greenies into smaller pieces to space out the intake. Sure thing. I'll get the petite size since I own Mini Schnauzers. Petite size greenies should suit your Wires as well. Pups eh? I hope I'm invited to view
  21. You should read Bawater's article. Its as comprehensive yet easily understood, and complete with pictures too. He's the Head Honcho for the Green Lanterns, and will name his sons, Nano, Iso. and if a daughter, Tetra.
  22. Well now, that is the thrill of having a Pistol Shrimp, tiny little fella will have you running out of your room in the middle of the night. You'll get used to it and start to ignore the clacking sound.
