  1. Joachim, U should know better to name your topic appropriately. I've edited it for you, next time please comply to the Guidelines.
  2. Interesting ... I don't mind giving it a go. Bawater will be jumping up and down when he reads this Not too sure on electrical jargon, so bear with me. Having witnessed an OSRAM+T5 in action, I observe that it uses a pre-heating sequence which actually light the entire T5 tube slightly before pushing it to full brightness. This electronic pulse starter seem to light up the ends first and only before full brightness.
  3. Sure it can Just use the slots you need.
  4. Well, it depends on how you 'sell' the idea to her. - To the tank benefit, improve circulation is good at preventing detritus buildup, thus improving aesthetics. - To the tank inhabitants benefit, it gives your LPS the swaying motion to make it look natural and also give the fishes some exercise. The benefits to SPS should be easy. *feng shui tip: vigorous swimming action of fishes in a fish tank placed in the 'wealth' position is good. - To the pocket benefit, Tunze pushes A LOT of water with little electrical consumption. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, tell her what she wants to hear ... simple enough?
  5. I also stopped snails clogging the overflow pipe problem with the netting. But you'll have to check during maintenance if the netting itself gets clogged. Coralline algae I scrapped off my glass using the Mag-Float form the majority of the debris found clogging my netting.
  6. Look like Cowries, not particularly reefsafe as it may eat sponges and some soft corals.
  7. I had one yesterday from the pasar malam near Yishun MRT, tastes authentic to me ... am meeting Bawater there, maybe we'll hit that store again ....yum yum ...
  8. I have not eaten in Macs for a long time ... prefer to get them at BK, or better RAMLI Burgers !!!!
  9. You can turn up at a McDonalds and do a 'Michael Douglas'? U mean we have quarter (or sixth) pounder now? You can still eat them in US, but nothing beat the BellyBusters "the burgers are better at Burger King..."
  10. You have some eateries not far from your block ... move your ###### Or you can fry up some of the Ulva, maybe add some eggs for mass, its salted already though
  11. Mummy looks happy & clean. Pups look big and healthy ...
  12. Good News indeed blueheaven ... if you need any advice, you're welcome to PM me. I'm sure those who owns MS will be more than willing to share a tip or two about this fascinating breed Speaking of which, acce, we havent' seen a full picture of your MS yet
  13. I have a scanned copy of the instructions in PDF format, PM me your email address if you need it.
  14. If the Red Striped Goby is referring to the Rainfordi Goby, Paradiz Reef still have a few good size ones. I'm looking for the Neons myself, only Henry from MLH & Thomas from OP seem to have brought them in before.
  15. Now that you have gone full circle, its not too late to go back to LPS & being able to keep more fishes again ... so its shopping time ... Personally I prefer mixed reef with majority LPS, I prefer more movement, thus swaying LPS and flashes of colours from the fishes
  16. Not entirely. My Yellow and Hippo Tang are "Brain Surgeon-fish" too Every fish has its own personality, and we can take them out of the ocean but we cannot take the ocean out of them. Best you remove the Brain and keep it in the sump or something while you decide your next course of action.
  17. Congrats ... I'm a Ah Gong three times over ... welcome to endless cleaning and many sneak peeks at night. But I suppose you'll do fine since you have kids
  18. BlueHeaven, So have you decided to keep Davies?
  19. Spidey, u wanna say hello to 10? Stick to topic, should settle for something less ostentatious ... try this. It even come with complete Russian logbooks
  20. Hi Kein, We have specific guidelines for the use of Product Reviews section, please read this. I'll move this out to the New to Hobby section for you. Next time do observe the rules. Thanks.
  21. Well Ryan, that I'd rather you run a search on the Net to find out for yourself
  22. Likely to be from the Meiacanthus family, commonly known as Harptail Blennies, just look at its tail. Unlikely to be an Ecsenius.
  23. So you're the one who outbidded errrmm... AT, now he's be wishing to have slipped the dealer a couple more joints. Suitcase is a little shoddy, they got 'Braun Buffel' spelt as 'Brawny Buffalo', and that sticker that reads , "Nuke Inside" isn't all that smart eh?
  24. So much attention showered on our canine friends, it gives a whole new twist to the phrase, "Its a Dog's Life" I'd recommend the Kong, virtually indestructible and my dogs love it, especially when its filled with goodies. Think the KongCompany even coined the term, 'Jawrobics' Fleece toys are fine but MS bite through them anyway. Whereas the Kong is almost 3 years old and still in good shape. Will keep the dogs in 'bitey mood' busy for hours.
