Ya man, need a wireless remote 10 feet away. Or I can strap a Critter-Cam on Hector and send him in Gouldian, Yup, I got it from eAquarist. One which is paired with another spotted-Goby. It had since decided that the Yashia is prettier

The man is here I've been trying, but its hard to capture the almost paranoid fish. Any slightest motion will cause it to bolt for into its burrow, in like 1/10 of a second. That should explain why its not commonly available. Will try again tonight, maybe try like the wildlife photographers, put a hood over myself

Terryz, I wouldn't be too concerned with the brittlestar unless it gets too big. As long as you can provide the peaceful environment, the gobies should start to feed. lvcap, I'm not an advocate of 24hours lighting for refugium as I believe there must be a natural order of photosynthesis and respiration (work / rest) for all living organisms. In any case, I would not put/leave anything else in the fuge except pods and worms.

Not referring to anyone in particular freewill Just had to put it out there so its understood

We do not encourage that in this forum as it would mean profiteering from your fellow aquarists. We help one another, that's why I got them for someone else where everyone is in a win-in situation. And offered to obtain more for those who still needs them.

Well, rumor does spread fast , as opposed to someone trudging along in a trashbin If it helps, anyone has spare T5 waterproof endcaps to sell can PM myself, cookiemunster or bawater
-
thought you got the retrofit? They are meant for Bawater actually, you can sort it out with him
-
Good on ya Terryz Scooter Blennies are relatively amicable towards the peace loving Gobies, so if you have an established substrate with ample sand fauna, plus enough rocks for hiding ... you can Gobies away ...

closing this and your other thread on eballast. please be more descriptive in your topic title

I'm having little success fattening up my Barbouris. Daily, they are fed SELCO & GP spiked mysis, and recently trying a weekly dose of phytoplankton enriched BBS & Brine Shrimp. There are pods all over, but they are not keen. Any constructive tips are welcome

Purple Firefish should not be too difficult to find, just have to be a little patient. Once the LFS / LFF gets wind, they'll flood the market soon enough. The Rainfordi, Hectori and Yashia are a little tougher. Paradiz Reef still has 3 healthy Rainfordis if you're keen. They had Hectori for a while. Will keep you on the 'Goby Alert List'

Hurray !!!!! My Yashia paired with a Alpheus randalli and are sharing a burrow now . The shrimp excavates while the Yashia keep watch. When the Hector or Rainfordi approaches, it exhibits peculiar behaviour of snapping its caudal fin, possibly to warn the shrimp of any danger .... very very interesting
-
Lovely addition , got one myself, you can see it in my Gobies thread. It is certainly peaceful. Do monitor for me if you see it eating filamentous algae and cleaning detritus off the rocks. My rocks are kept clean, and I can't be sure if its Hector or the Rainfordi doing the vacuming

The Eviota.sp have very vivid colours, excellent additions to a reef tank. Its found mainly in the Philippines waters, some local LFS / LFF do have their operations there. So with enough luck, we may get lucky, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed too Fuel, mine started feeding on pods off the water column, as well as BBS, even adult Brine Shrimps which wandered near its burrow. But you got that right about it being extremely shy. Give it some time, it should be ok.
-
With enough patience and luck, I'm sure you'll get the menace. Fuel, marinebetta picked it up for me with the help of Jon from CF. But the goby you mentioned does not seem very pretty at all Any picture of your Yashia?
-
That's a considerate gesture ... when you are ready, let me know, I'll let you in on the Gobies Alert List Wonder who got the other 2? ah^siao, the seahorses are given to me by Bawater ( ). They were already feeding on mysis. Never asked if they were trained to take to a dish, but looks like they do.

It will probably remain a mystery, but I have a major operation in the works to rid my tank of majority of the peskies. Barra, there is at least one senior reefer who will swear his bubble took at least 5 of his anthiases Perhaps a random tentacle sweep in the Dispar's path which stunned it, then a slow drawing of the victim into its maw
-
Jon and marinebetta did a great job picking out this little fella, it has a high fin, broad consistent red lines with nice yellow finage. Have not gotten yours? Will gear up for another photoshoot tomorrow evening
-
Looks like majority Ulva, the long stringy ones you have are similar to Roidan's. They are not Chaetomorpha.sp. Here's how its supposed to look like: thick & curly, fresh green and hard to feel.
-
This is as best a shot I can take of the Yashia, its really timid and darts at the slightest action. Pretty sure he's aware of the camera pointing at it, but is daring enough to shoot for adult and baby brine shrimps. When I get a better shot, I'll post a thread on this beauty

Here you go The white dots you see on the left glass panel are snail eggs, not sure if it belongs to the 2 Nassarius or the lone undentified snail.
-
Looks like a good portion of the Dispar's mid section has been devoured. Took a whiff of the carcass, its still fresh, which indicates how quickly it was consumed. So bottomline is, be careful what you put in your tank

I just moved your thread and gave it better presence. You should consider exchanging with the pet shop for a more suitable feed, ,or dry food.

You got that right about the it being better value for money. The principle of pre-heating sounds consistent, guess its just a difference in method of execution. WM, PM me on where to get these ya? Thanks.
