Main cause of fishes jumping tanks is stress, either from bad water conditions, or primarily aggression from other tank inhabitants. While increased depth might lessen the chances, it will not solve the problem. So either put a cover over the tank, which will address the symptoms. Or simply, remove the aggressors, which will address one of the causes.

Amy, I'm happy with what I have. No need any complications. If I want to see wildlife (kids), I'll go to the zoo
