  1. We have enough trouble as it is, since its been almost 36hours without reply. Both of you have been booked, for non-compliance to Forum T&C. If you have any grievances, you are welcome to explain yourselves over Private Messages.
  2. blueheaven, Post a picture of Davies mv3i, Looks like a happy MS, looks like a thrill seeker too
  3. Rainfordi and Bullet Gobies at eAquarist (as stated in sponsor's section) kee, its in the row of small tanks (betta sized?) near the counter
  4. aStRoBo| and that was niceeeee, Care to explain before ... ?
  5. Golden Neon Goby (Gobiosoma sp) spotted at LCK110 Two species of uncommon goby spotted at CF.
  6. I work with laptops at work and at home, the world is my workstation ... Tanz, is that a multipurpose mug + shoehorn?
  7. bum, you got that right, late and night, bloodstream choked with caffeine and nothing to do ... stare at the one thing that is teeming with life - the refugium ... I'll see what else I can capture tonight, what about your pictures? silverfish, the 'LIVE Magnet' has been technically reserved by another aquarist, ready to seed his tank
  8. ... SRC's Resident Clown is back !!!!!!
  9. I have no problem, if she don't mind, I don't mind Hell, I'll even ram up the pressure and increase the throughput
  10. The most anticipated LFS now would be to eAquanature's
  11. This is truly bizarre, worms behind Coralline algae patches on the glass. Can't even begin to wonder how it got there. Same clutches of eggs all slightly above the sandbed. Hordes of fire bristleworms too That's all ... for now
  12. Edge of the same magnet cleaner, a clutch of unidentified eggs.
  13. Made the mistake of drinking some strong Ya Kun coffee after 10pm, so since I couldn't sleep. I decided to take some picture of the fuge ... Here's a little surprising growth on my worn magnet cleaner, coated thick with coralline and hosts a variety of microlife. I can probably sell this as a 'LIVE Magnet', no CITES required
  14. That is the million dollar question, no idea how do other dog keepers keep their dog's muzzle clean. It has something to do with the pH of canine saliva, bacteria etc which stains the fur. Theoretically, countering these should help to reduce further staining. Still open to suggestions
  15. pups looks like sheeps and very comfortable mommy looks pooped ...
  16. I started a similar thread some time ago here, you guys wanna repost your pictures there? I'll delete this thread when its done
  17. If you're looking for canine companionship, there are some actually quite a lot of pure breed dogs at SPCA that you can consider adopting. Believe poodles, shetland sheepdogs et cetera. You'll be gaining some good karma points, and lots of joy to the dog
  18. Thanks guys First thing I did was to leave the camera on tripod pointing straight at their burrow entrance. It took them a while, but figured that it is harmless. After that, its just waiting for the right moment, then creep slowly up to snap them Camera is on autofocus. Gobies are relatively hardy, but I can't stress enough that they are generally peaceful and require an aggression-free tank environment to see them in most natural behaviour No fad cookie, just being original, everyone else is nuts over tangs and sps
  19. Some of them have already hatched, but I never spot any baby nassarius. Not sure if snail hatchlings are pelagic, Rainfordis are also known to feed on tiny crustaceans, so I suppose its keeping snail population growth in check. I'll be more than happy if it means the tiny 1.5ft setup becomes self sufficient in ways
  20. After water change and some major elbow workout cleaning the eggs sacs off the acrylic walls, mummy Nassarius came back with a vengence and peppered the panels with eggs sacs. She sure is in a hurry to proliferate, perhaps she's reaching sexual maturity, or/and sensing the end of her life
  21. Finally caught these two at their secondary lookout
  22. CoralPlankton stays on the water column, no doubt, but I'll have to contest the extent of loss of beneficial value due to extended feeding duration. Breakdown of organics before losing significant amount of its benefits will take more than 1 hour. I put it on drip to extend the feeding period and maximise their chances of capture before settling down onto sandbed or rocks. And even so the fauna or other critters will quickly feed on them. Turning off all circulation is not recommended as the odds of capture is lessened. Basic kinetics will correlate with chances of capture. Switching off the return should do, and maintain at least some level of water movement in your tank. Its a simple matter of estimating the intake and trade off with very minute loss of benefits. I don't bother with switching off skimmer as I find any loss due to skimming negligible. Don't sweat the small stuff guys, its only small stuff
  23. Wanna hear another conspiracy, I believe the Handphone Oligopoly split the market so each can share a fair portion. They trade places every now and then to get tongues wagging and perhaps make it seem like competition A cellular phone is a phone is a phone, and it should remain a phone. Give me satellite phone coverage, excellent clarity and battery that runs for months, perhaps throw in some nice aesthetics and colour screen and I'll buy it without questions. My take, they have the technology but why put it out in the market when they can make more money? They have tires that can last 10 years you know... Fuel, I also keep a monster under my bed, feed it lizards sometimes
