A good skimmer* will pull out gunk from newly prepared saltwater from synthetic salt; so technically, some assumptions made are not exactly true. (*Beckett or DELTEC fanatics are NOT welcome to comment on if their skimmers can do just that ) hamannbmw, I would not be too concerned with the skimmer since your setup is relatively new. Assuming your settings are correct, leave it to run a while and avoid re-adjusting the settings. Report back in a couple of days. If it still doesn't work, then reset your settings and start over.

How did you come to that conclusion?

I second Tanzy, but I'd rephrase it to 'questionable' sites. Good security awareness should keep you from clicking on any prompts to install certificates or cookies just to watch the lady (or guy) strip or something. Run spyware / adware detection software regularly to clean them out. Besides the one Vinoth posted, think I've already pre-empt you guys with a thread I posted in the Kopitiam sometime back. BTW, is it not Norton Internet Security which will weed out adware, et cetera?

NEEd info on Tank Temperature .
KingFish replied to vicky's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
I have no idea where is this thread heading but if you are looking for solution, then you should address the two conditions, ambient and water temperature. Try airing your room a little more to let the heat dissipate, raising the ambient temperature. Add a single powerful fan to blow across the water surface to promote better gaseous exchange and evaporation. But do keep up with the water topup. Not sure what is your lighting scheme, but since yours is a FOWLR, I suppose changing photoperiod hours will help a little. Just watch the fish for diseases or injuries. -
Think we talked about this some time ago, all hoping to catch on the LOTR fever while its hot. The story is only the tip of the iceberg. Anyone who is interested can try Iliad by Homer*, but Good Luck . (*not a Simpson) Some of you will be glad to know that at least 2 movies are being filmed right now based on Alexander the Great. Yes, they are bringing back some real classics. When o' when shalt they start on the Battle of Thermopylae?

Been using T68i for more than a year, don't seem to have any problem with the charger. Probably the way you jack it in, you should do it at an angle and a gentle push will do.

Terry, just wondering if your Eviotas get along well?

If you look closely, one of the bulbs should read ここに愚かな外国人

Keep this thread nice and clean guys Stay on topic, and no personal attacks or insinuations of any sort please. Or I'll take you down before you can say B-E-C-K-E-T-T or D-E-L-T-E-C

This thread started off as what seems to be a prequel to an actual Product Review but which has since retrograded into a slug-fest. This thread will be closed for the time being. PM me for clarifications.

KingFish replied to KingFish's topic in Sell off/Pasar Malam Shop
Hi guys, Thanks, she's currently putting up with my wife's friend in the company of 2 other Miniature Schnauzers. The 24/7 playtime should expend some of her boundless energy -
too many sticky fingers you dogs ... the Coalition of Pimps (COP) rules explicitly states that you do not touch your own

Ola El Nino .... Hope you have your car in a sheltered carlot or it'll have little bumps all over ... When the hail started, did you run through the park buck ######?

They are known to be territorial, so only do so if you have a big tank Personally, my observation is their range seem to be more than 1feet.

quires on clearner wrasser and yellow neon goby
KingFish replied to giantbicycle's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
Unless you have enough fish hosts for parasites, or get your cleaner wrasse to feed on prepared mix, then good for you. Otherwise, the gobies have better chances of survival. In the wild, they can live up to 2 years or so, but I would not be too concerned since its hard to amortise it over intangible benefits. -

Can anyone recommend a good & reliable Pet Hotel or Home Boarding services? I have to put up a Miniature Schnauzer for a couple of months. Thanks -
Thanks ... I thought the Pellucidas are tough to shoot, the white lines are even more fidgety. It'll be a while before I put my back and patience to the test again. Sure, whenever, pm me your number.

Logically, if you compare their body mass to the kind of feed we typically use, they'd possibly only need a nip of this and that, or a single whole mysis to fill their stomach. They also do not reside in turbid waters which means less energy expension. So a little goes a long way. I wouldn't be too worried about the big tummy, provide a stress free environment and they should do great. Not sure you can get SELCO or SELCON locally, I fly mine in from BrineShrimpDirect. An alternative would be KENT marine's ZoeCon which is available from EAN.

Thanks. Yep, these were shot in the wee hours of the morning. Since I couldn't sleep, thought I'd rouse them up so I can shoot them when they come out to feed. They are doing really well. Grown quite a bit feeding on my food mix. Bit of tussling with the White lines, but some friendly competition seems to be bringing them out more
