Due to my busy schedule i am looking to sell of my clam which has been with me for the last 1 year+ i believe it is a blue tear drop squamosa. One of the tougher clam around as it has survived quite a few mishap with my tanks such as: 1. chiller damaged 2. light spoiled 3. dosing pump spoil quite surprise that the clam survived as most of my other sps all died during this event which sometimes lasted a few days to a week.... (some lps died too). Here are the pics taken with iphone cam: size about a adult palm size when spread open. viewing can be arrange with appt at pandan loop....do inform me in advance as i really rarely drop into office now....

indeed. Just had a anemone shake incident earlier lol. So far this is the first. the bta and carpet has shifted a few times and each time they got blown away from the wp 40 (prolly luck since it is on w1 mode - pull n push). now thinking of how to do the scape again when free..

flow i really not sure....lol can i say that the flow rate is the same as my return pump since i am relying on the natural flow within the sump? if so it would be ard 4000 litre . hm thought i saw santa monica thread was using cotton or maybe read wrongly. sorry for the slow reply had to deal with anemone shake today in tank..... O ya actually this ATS can be bought at 328...the carbon filter for freshwater overhanging fitler. i just cut a hole in the bottom to empty out the carbon content washed and use. It can also float on the water surface which is why mine just nice stay in that position i guess without using glue or clips. Hope it works den can easily get a ATS at less than $10 i think...not sure coz bought long ago just happen to stumble onto it again.

Been trying to get a ATS to fit into my tank for some time and finally thought of trying this out: No3 has yet to go down after a week of using but just wanted to be sure that the ATS is setted up correctly since the algae seems more...reddish brown than green as i see in the videos for ATS. from what i read i just need light and flow on the ATS for it to work right? currently depending on the the light for the cheetos (lumen aqua led). flow wise i am tapping onto the natural flow in the sump. or did i seed it with the wrong algae?

my AT has been in tank for about 2-3 month i think. At 1 stage the ich was pretty bad thought gone case but now seems ok. Was bracing for a full tank ich out break but somehow only the AT has it. Other lifestocks such as clown,YT,BT etc no probs. Did use poly lab medic also at the starting 1 month. After that stop liao. I do thing the poly lab helped prevent an outbreak but at the same time my AT ich seems to get worst when i dose (i dont dose on sunday since i am not in office and on monday the ich always seems better) which is why i stopped dosing after 1/2 a bottle was used. right now seems to still have a bit of ich on and off and is thinner than before. But the AT is always the first that cheong for the dried seaweed when i add it to tank. pellet still not eating thou it seems curious and rush out with the other tang when i feed. Frozen food...bugger is selective...sometimes i see him swallowing the food other times it nips and spits out!

pain in the ass when it mvoes around as it can sting the sps...candle light almost went up lorry thanks to its sting. had to rescape tank 4 times to try and get it away from sps but yet again it has manage to move up close to them. thx. The clam is from irwana. think it is blue spotted squamosa. thx bro. thanks uncle mike. Still new tank (3 mth old) hopefully i can let it mature without problems.

updates on some new frags (got quite a few only posted a few of my fav): ORA Roescoe Blue Tenuis Reverse sunset monti Spartan ice fire (hope it grows to be what i see if so think it would be one of my fav sps) latistella new anemone (created a new scape hoping to form a anemone garden but guess it kinda failed...updates later): Growth: my colleague was commenting that my clam seems much larger. I guess staring at my tank everyday made me unable to see any growth at all). before: now: from the anemone which used to cover 3/4 of the clam, now only cover less than half guess it really grew. garf bonsai growth sunset millie: coloured up to brown back to colour (i hope) to to for the anemone garden story: was trying to form a anemone garden on the front of the tank. Did up the rockscape on fri and left office happily with all anemone there. Sadly my carpets has other plans and decided to move from the area for anemone to a rock full of zoas (from red area to current location in second red circle - not sure how it got there) needless to say all my zoas (which i just moved to that rock on friday too) was buried beneath the mouth of the anemone. manage to dig out some frags but those that are at the centre of the rock are gone case i guess since the mouth of the anemone is firmly attached to the rock liao. current FTS

AI has it all along (left to right or right to left your choice) for the auto matic mode. for the hardcores, can do manual setting. latest update allows you to choose which colour to give priority too (white or blue) when ramping up or down the lights. and ya dont see how it helps my corals lol

my dosing regime comprise of polylab genesis,fuel etc and Grotech ABCM. Beside that i did dose red slime remover a week ago.

Just hijacking a little... what about melanurus wrasse? Just added into my tank some time back. seems like got a few missing shrimps a few days after adding in. read up so far says that they dont disturb shrimp much but rather might go for snails so i am not sure if he is the culprit.
