(wanted to test now but test kit solution just ran out). All zoas are opening LPS seems to be ok too except for 1 hammer extenson not yet like before. Anemone also recovering... on the bad news: clam up seems to be up lorry liao.....no mantle extension at all can see his core. probably will take this time to fill tank with copepods... only life stock before i get my next tank will be a mandarin.

(at least i hope it is). office on lvl 3 n no lift...+ in the hectic morning i ended up with this so hard to make a trip to irwana to buy DI water hehe....any bros in the west (near pandan loop) that i can buy DI water or mixed salt water from if needed???? using a bm curve 7 for my 80litre tank so kinda over killing by 7 times....had to wait a few hrs before i can use it as i dosed bacteria and it was overflowing within 5 minutre at first....hopefully i can return to a happy tank tml morning sorry for the slow reply...KOed after visiting vincent to inform him that i putting the tank on hold...

i was about to order from vincent till something unforeseen happen today morning. friendly guy + lot of peeps recommanded him. maybe u can drop him a call. office in pantech, pandan loop area (he is building a display tank for himself right now actually so u can see his workmanship). think he is going overseas soon so u might wan to call him before he flies...

Hi my tank in office kinda crashed after a short circuit on sat night. Only realized it today when my colleague gave me a call at 6am. damage so far: all fish dead but LPS, Zoas and anemone still seems ok. morning looks bad but after i manage to get flow from sump back to tank, all seems ok...elegence open back as large as before, torch too. zoas starting to open nicely. couple of question on my mind now which i need advice on: 1. anemone: they can make things worst if they start to die off (at first i thought it is gone. totally dint see him in the morning. now he is starting to come back). Do i need to remove the anemone or is recovering?? 2. dead fish beneath rock: i had 5 fish in my tank. so far recovered 2 bodies. 3 more cant find - goby: small so i not that worried - mandarin: saw his body beneath rock liao but to remove him i need to shift rock - clown fish: still mia. thought i should remove them to lower ammonia. but scared remove rock and stiring of sand bed will cause mini cycling..dont want to stress my LPS and softies furthur. 3. the moment i step in i can smell the rotten egg smell liao. dint really test coz first thought is to restore power remove dead fish (den i got injured by the bloody frag scissors that fell onto my leg). After got back from clinic only did a bacteria dose. Finally got time to test and salifert test kit showed me <0.25 ammonia, 0 no2(read from top. side is 0.25 but instruction says top so....) and 35ppm for no3. I prepared a pail of mixed salt water to do wc liao but since only no3, should i allow my bio pellets to work it's way or should i do a WC (but i have no spare bacteria to dose right now). 4. was preparing to pay the deposit for new 5 ft tank....this got me thinking about doing a large tank in office. if crash the cost is gonna be higher but yet was thinking that the higher water volume would make survival of life stock higher during a electric crash?? usually only no one in office from sat noon - mon morning. in fact i usually come in on sun coz my skimz overflow tends to fail from time to time but dint this sunday coz it worked fine for last few days. add to that my office is in west n i stay in east so i got lazy haha. additional background: office electricity trip twice since start of year (guess this is what happens when ur office has 4 tanks....). overflooding of tank due to failure of skimz overflow twice. once when i was in office and once when i was out of town (lucky for me after first failure i moved pump higher so overflow damaged was minimal). so with all this wonder if i am ready for a larger tank? 5. some clam expert please tell me how is my clam doing and how to save it?? =p

agree with this..... looks nicer and u can use more equipment + most importantly to me...increase water capacity. problem with nano tank is how sensitive the tank can be. increasing water capacity would safe guard ur ass......only thing is if over stock and water from sump cant flow to tank....got problem liao...haha my tank just crashed today morning when power trip causing water from sump not to go back to tank...now all fishy dead moment i manage to get flow to work my lps and zoas starts to look good

Sorry for the slow post of pic...darn morning...tank crash and while in the midst of trying to do something, the blade i use to frag drop onto my leg from the table...had to go to the clinic...luckily not deep hehe. anyway here is the pic of the clam. sorry for the blury image but the water is cloudy. thx bro so far not as bad as i imagined when i received the call. all 5 fishes seems dead. 2 bodies recovered 3 mia. LPS and softies seems to be doing better after the power came back and my sump water went to display tank. anemone is still there too but shrivel up. was supposed to go down to pay vincent the deposit for my 5 ft tank now got to reconsider liao... based on timer, short circuit started on sat night around 9pm..... 1 1/2 day so much damage liao...if this happen to 5 ft tank loses will be higher....large fish tank in office may not be that good and idea hehe.... + gf will nag me to death.....

Havent updated in some time. Thought i should before i decomm the tank in a month time or so. Below are the newer additions to my tank Blue Squamosa (can see fruit loops zoas on the left...looks nice from top view hehe). Golden eye radioactive dragon eye rainbow stardust sunflower hammer (my old hammer is just beside it). My new mandarin (previous one refused to eat. This fella has been doing good - ard 2 weeks in tank - always see him going around pecking. hopefully my copepods can last him...trying to replanish but last 3 trip to ah beng also no copepods. adding reef nutrition tiggerpods as well as tiggerfeast to sustain him. so far he looks fatter ).

Just got a DD nitrate test kit. used the low range and abit lost on how to take the reading. comparison to 2 - 4ppm (lighter than the red shown so should be lower?) Comparison to lower than 1ppm chart - standard on the right. tank water with reagent on the left . (doesnt really match any). haven't tested it on the other reading coz i ran out of di water.

same i am using 6015 for my 50l tank but like after sometime not so power liao. got a few spots i want to add a bit more wave. Have been thinking of getting another wavemaker probably going to try your hydor koralia nano.

i just dosed abc today. took photo of my LPS and zoas using DSLR. From Raw file, i changed white balancing for all to 14,000 -30% taint. was thinking if lighting, app and wb remains the same by next week can take another same shot with same setting to see diff 1. Zoas - LA Lakers 2. LPS Elegence
