Hmmm... Dun quite get what u mean, how does that help to check for dead spot? The only dead spot I can find is perhaps in the middle between the 2 structural rocks but I can't place any wavemaker there.

The blue mille, I cut out the base rock it is attached to and glued it to my structural LR. Also accidentally broke one of its tip, now the base looks a bit ugly. Hope it can recover and encrust itself to the rock.

Some updates on my sps, Red monti after 1 week plus,

I's been a week and I'm really pleased with the work rate of this baby. However, I've adjusted the water level to the minimum and I still get wet skimate. The recommended water level is between 120 to 240mm but my sump water level is appox~300mm. I tried elevating it but the water level inside the cylinder becomes extremely low. So decided to just leave it as it is right now.

The ht 22" does it mean your water level or height where u can fit in your slimmer? U can look at Tunze DOC skimmer or Skimz smallest skimmer, SM121.
