    Added 2 sets of illumagic Vitamini Super Actinic LED bars to my light setup and removed the 2 Helios single t5ho fixtures. Now with a nice spread of light and it’s brighter too. Temporarily running at 5hrs only. Also hoping to reduce maintenance cost in the long run by not having the need to change t5 bulbs and improve colors by going full leds as compared to T5ho. Will only know in the months to come. So far I’m satisfied with the results.

    Hi reefers, I have 2 used sets for sale after upgrading. One is qwd version and one is the older model, wes version. Both were used for quite a number of years. Wes controller buttons inner plastic are broken and brittle and will drop into the controller box if press too hard. Wet side a bit noisy when running. Doesn’t affect function and certainly not for the fussy. Qwd $250 Wes $50 Pls pm if u r keen. If nobody wants it I will keep as spare. Collect from woodlands, my place.

    I think my tank is jinxed. Cannot keep more than 12 fishes. Sure will have death one way or the other. My beloved Snowcasso of 7.5yrs jumped. That’s not all.Found the body of one of the flavo sucked on the bottom wavemaker. Sad. Won’t be adding any more fishes anytime soon.

    Good that u dip, bro. I having a bad infestation, easily in the hundreds in my tank. Now headache!! Read that there are different type of these asterina stars. I realized some of that actually feed on my corals like lps. I saw some missing flesh on my acans and found a few of it. After I removed them the flesh on the acans recovered. Think they are the darker skin types too. The whiter ones could be feeding algae. Read a reefer post in foreign forum says that if u find those buggers on corals means it feed on corals and on tank wall and glass means they are feeding on algae. Haha... not sure how true.

    Suddenly died, it was feeding. Some chasing once In a while by the bigger senior tangs but not all the time. So far, rest of the tang are ok. No ich. Maybe is attacked by one of bigger tang, Juz escape my notice. Will take note of this brand, nearth. Thanks. Ya, I read that up too. Shall skip this in future. Thanks for ur advise bro.

    I see, I think I shall gave up for the time being. Even my 2 existing Evansi which are still alive after 6mths hv lost its vibrant colors. One looked skinny while the other look normal built. Both are active though. Have a lot of fishes’ death lately. Even my gem tang also died suddenly with no signs of illness. The new Evansi still in hiding. Doubt it’s eating so chances not high. Dunno wat to do now to entice them to eat. The lyretail blue eyes has no problem feeding them at all. If I were to try more anthias, maybe shall give Bartlett and dispar a go.
