Found this from liveaquaria, think what u mean is changing from female to male?

My Splendid Leopard wrasse colors has kinda faded. Pls refer to pics below, sorry for the blurry pics, as it always swimming around actively. Pic of it when i first got it, It losing its bright coloration. There r now more black with white spots markings then the red with white spots markings on its body now as compared to before where there's more red coloration. What could it be due to? Anyone encounter this before? Is it natural for it to become like that cos i couldn't find any information saying adults splendid leopard r different when they r young or is it changing sex or it losing colors due to being in captive tank? Any information is appreciated...thanks.
