    If ur tank is new, u need to dose bacteria to boost up ur bacteria colony in order to reduce nutrients. How small is ur tank?

    Red slime algae looks slimy and can be easily brush off the rocks. If it is firmly encrusted, then it's coraline. Comes in different colors, red, purple, magenta, violet etc...

    Think he meant by electrical hazards, placing your pump near so many plugs and adapters. Accidental water spillage from pump for example.... Water & electricity dun mix...
