If it doesn't retract into hiding, maybe its juz a hitchhiker zoas polyps. Cos seem easy for u to cut it.
-
How did u remove it? It can't be pluck off the rocks as it will retract bk into its hiding hole once u move near it. And even if u managed to pluck it, it will spread even more to other areas. Unless u removed that whole LR.

Time for a fts, bro.
-
That's means u changed a new tank? Looks more spacious now.
-
Seriously, bro, I'm not too sure myself. But I guess the light kinda over stressed it too much. Could be my water too since calcium level overshot too.
-
I dun think it lobophora as lobophora is fully encrusted and hv to scrape of with something sharp. And it's very slow grower. I used to hv some of it but I got rid of it by spraying it with joe juice. Read that naso tang and rabbit fish eat these. If can peel off with your hands, it's either mulm or cyano.

The exposed part shd color up in no time.

Thanks, will try to resolve soon, I'm using ecotech radion gen1 tgt with solite 4xT5 set. It can be set to 1% but I find there's no effect so I rather incre by at least 3-5% as compared to prev intensity as can be seen from our naked eye?? Maybe I'm lazy if incre 1% every 3-4days, as radion need to USB connect to my laptop in order to prg to chg the setting. Noted, bro. My radion on for 10hrs but only 6hrs r intensified, beginning and ending of the day is quite low powered and blueish setting ard 20K. T5 on for 8hrs. Since my lps only one is affected, I moved that piece shaded behind some rocks. Anyway, my radion going cuckoo nowadays. It seem to program itself on its own. Can alw hear the button pressing clicking sound, the lighting intensified on and off, switching of modes, basic to natural, artificial to basic on its own???!!! Getting regular occupancies of this nowadays. Any users encountered the same problem as me? I hv to off and on back and press it to switch bk to my artificial setting but it's only temporary fix. After a few hrs or days , it will happen again. Kinda irritated by it!! Purple Loch Ness!! Another angle after it drop off the frag plug, I hv to glued it. This way looks better to me, ha ha. Sorry for the blueish look. I'm kinda lousy photographer!!

Its looks like aiptasia. Pest to most reefers.

Ok, I see. I hope the dark brown I see is not dark brown algae covering the rocks. Those r somehow related to cyano. I used to get lots of red slime on some parts of my rocks. After a while after layers after layers it's become harden & dark brown. Its can be peel of using fingers or a soft brush to brush off. Have to throw away some of the problematics ones.
-
Nice scape, but juz a question, r u using liverocks? The color of rocks are all dark brown, no purple coraline on it??

Bro Sherman, the photo period remained the same I only gradually increased 5% after every few wks. It's only hit 80% think less than 1wk, the loripes stn. My gb digi also hv some burn marks but not at the tips but all over its body. Maybe pests, but then I can't find any?? Color of my trachy also fading a little, signs of bleaching?? I still monitoring closely. Reduced my intensity by 5%.

Thanks everyone for your concerns and advises. My KH stable around 8dkh. Realised my calcium rise up due to changing to recipe 1 from recipe 2 of Randy's 2parts. Already reduced my calcium dosing but still not fast enough to bring it down but I hv to gradually reduce amount of dosing daily. Shot up within a wk but when I check my KH it's still within my target range of 7-8dkh. So I canceling the possibility of KH swing, I did ramp up my led intensity in recent wks so might be lightings.

That's great!!

Nice sps!!

Ok, u using your phone or pc to upload? If phone u can download photo editors such as instaeditor to help u rotate your photos.
-
Added some new zoas, Candy apple pink, Kona gold & Spiderman. My loripes suddenly stn which I suspected was due to my led light blasting. Those frags that I frag out to try salvage, those I continue to place in the middle will still get the full blast of my led all up lorry. Whereas those I place on my frag tray at the lhs of my tank still doing ok. I think its oredi at its limit of getting strong lighting on it. Checking on my paras, only my calcium went up too high at ard 525ppm. Time to re-adjust my radion intensity again.
-
Hmmm... Juz wondering, does the photo taken by your phone or camera, turn out this way, wrong oriented or upright? Or only after u attach & upload then it become like this?

I dun think its high nitrates cos its will not only affect your clam but fishes and corals too. What I mean high nitrates will be those above 100ppm. Test kit shd be able to detect.

Maybe chk ur calcium levels, most clams need gd calcium levels to strive other than lighting.
-
Among red, green and blue milles, blue Mille r the hardest to keep as they require stronger lightings compared to red and green. As advised by others u can try relocate to higher light spot. Too high calcium levels can also stunned sps pe from opening well.

I'm not too sure, bro. This loripes has been with me for more than a yr plus. Quite hardy piece, but perhaps the sudden introduction of so many fishes cause a too sudden spike in nutrients levels. But then it's been very hardy pc in my tank, no other corals was affected though. The skin was like torn away from the skeleton structure juz like that overnite. And I hv not been dosing anything unusual or in fact nothing this wk other than calcium, carbonate & magnesium. So I dun really know, can only guess and wonder.
