  3. Bro, ur equipment list looked decent for a beginner's except for the return pump. Way too under powered for a 4ft. It's only 2880l/h, rite? Go for at least 4500-5000l/h and above.
  4. Hi bro, if u hv religiously dose bacteria. And closely monitor ur tank water with water tests like nh3/nh4 and no2 and saw ur tank's ammonia spike & nitrite rise and fall to zero. It means ur nitrogen cycle completed but like most bros here do is wait a little longer to season ur tank water more to build up on the bacteria colonies in ur tank.
  5. Thanks for the explanation, bro. I'm keeping sps here so no3 becomes a lttle touchy here.
  6. Hi bro, Thot U can only use the low range method if its lower than 10ppm. I alw get 10ppm at most and not lower. Probably same as wat I saw from Ah Chris's photo of the tests. So u juz ignore and read from side of the vial?
  7. Hi all, my return pump stalled a few days back. I soaked in vinegar but still can't open up and the impeller in it can't turn. Could be broken inside. Anyone who wants it can have it to scavenge whatever it is if u hv a means to open it. Btw there's no power plug as I hv converted previously to local 3 pin plug and I'll be retaining it for my future use. Collection at admiralty, woodlands ave 6. Pls PM me if keen. Thks.
  8. U seem like a DIY guy. Looking fwd to ur progress.
  9. Nice vid of ur tank in the hole, bro. Very pretty sps!!
  10. If u ask me, I consider anything below 40 gallons a nano and below 5 gallons a pico. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reef_aquarium Going by the amt of volume of water ur tank has, it's not nano.
  11. Ha ha bro, I referring to post # 49 & 80, not #81.
