  1. Potassium r vey important to coloration of sps. My red monti start to hv burnt surfaces and green monti started to lose color before it healed after a few wks after dosing of potassium to 400ppm. Potassium also helped in coloration in red/pink sps beside some purple sps.
  2. Ideal range for calcium will be btwn 400-500ppm. Alkalinity will be 8-11dkh. Hope this helps.
  3. It will definitely stun ur coral's growth but before u touch that panic button, I suggest u do a cross reference with another brand test kit to confirm. Salifert will be a better choice IMO.
  4. Oic, thanks for sharing where to get it.
  5. Oic, my old one also from my old canister filter. Dunno if they juz sell this part separately?? Thanks anyway, bro.
  6. Have u try feeding it more? It having a reverse reaction. Usually less inflated bubbles and more sweeping tenacles when lights off but urs having it when lights r on. Less inflated bubbles means more sweeper tenacles searching for food, I guess it could be hungry?
  7. Thanks, bro but Fiji corals are a tough nut to crack. Thanks for the nice words, bro. A little update on my tank, my tank ran into a big problem during one of my WC a few wks ago, my return pump, eheim 1260, was unable to start bk cos I think the impeller was broke inside and I couldn't open it due to thick calcium deposit around the pump cover. Had used it for 6yrs and didn't do much cleaning & maintenance on it. Luckily managed to loan an eheim 1264 from a nice reefer Frd. So took this opportunity to chg my return pump to Fluval Sea SP2 aquarium sump pump rated at 3600l/h and also upsized my chiller to Hailea HS-66A from HS-28A. Pics of my pump and chiller: Thanks for viewing.
  8. Nice underwater photos of Maldives reef. Thks for sharing.
  9. That's a gd idea of filtering new salt mixed water.
  10. Bro, what's the filter sock in the middle of the sump for? Very neat & tidy sump.
  11. There's quite a deep sandbed u have for a nano tank. Looking fwd to ur stocking!!
  12. Mp60 would be better.
  13. There won't be enough spread for a 3 ft t5 light fixture to cover a 5 ft tank and if u hang higher to get the spread, it won't have enough punching power into the water. I would go for at least 54w or 80w fixture.
