  1. Think there better light out there if u hv the budget.
  2. So far no, only my big splendid leopard wrasse is aggressive towards it. So most of the time it's hiding but now it's coming out more often to look to food & pecks on the rocks. Shall wait & see how. Finally managed to fix up my light today. Boy, it's heavy!!
  3. The smallest will be gd to go for ur tank.
  4. U can follow the instruction on the bottle label. For me, I dun off my skimmer.
  5. Wah, nice nano. Haha, still got cny deco beside it some more. No skimmer means u need to do wc more frequent. If u planning to keep corals then it's gd to hv chiller or fan to cool down ur tank's temp. Also need to get a wave maker to keep current going in ur tank. If it's Juz fishes or inverts then wavemaker might be optional. Cheers & welcome bk to the hobby!!
  6. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1620464 Can try this. Dunno if it will work though.
  7. Dosing biofuel & mb7 is not miracle drug. It's will take wks to maybe a mth or two to bring nitrates & phosphates down slowly even if u dose on a consistent basis.
  8. No need to be zero as corals also need a little phosphate as their food source to grow. Maintaining it close to zero is gd enough. Running a fr is one of the ways.
  9. So there u have it, price is $22k but that's 2 yrs ago.
  10. Cos they r clown so they always clowning around to be funny. Lol. Maybe ur hammer very big & comfy compared to the small RBTA.
  11. Peppermint dwarf angelfish. It's a super expensive fish. Even if u got the $$ u might not get to own it cos it quite rare. But now it getting more numbers in the foreign market. Doubt It will come to SG.
  12. Haha, I haven't install yet!! Ya, it's around 10kg in weight and 312w in power!! I'm not really good at reviewing equipment. But imo this pump is quite quiet compared to others but lacking in power though. Eheim 1260 is even more powerful than this. Mind u, 1260 only rated at 2400l/h and this is a 3600l/h!! It's said to be energy saving and regarding maintenance, parts is quite easy to take out but will require a screwdriver. This is one review I found online, http://blog.aquanerd.com/2013/12/fluval-sea-sp2-review.html Nothing much to update on my tank, haven't gotten any new sps as I having massive bubble algae & other hair algae problem. Most likely due to overdosing some of my traces. Also had a few sps not doing well cos new co2 cylinder ran out of gas (new cylinder only 1/4 filled I think) after 2 mths usage. This caused a fluctuation on my kh, some sps Stn as a result and some I think is due to my overdosing of zeospurs2. I bought a ghost spider crab last wk to tackle my bubble algae as recommended by Henry of ML. Juz monitoring at the moment. Also gotten 2 fishes from him that caught my eye when I was there. Yellowbreasted wrasse Yellow candy hog fish. Ironic that both have the word yellow in front of their common names, lol. But they look so differnt to each other though. Alright, that's all for now. Have a gd reefing wkend!!
  13. Can order from them directly online but they do charge delivery fee.
  14. Interesting looking fish. Where u got it?
  15. First u need to know if ur tank has a high no3 & po4 problem. Dosing these is to reduce the nutrient levels in ur tank thus making ur tank "cleaner".
  16. If u running fr with phosphate removal media(GFO), u will be able to keep ur tank at low p04 levels thus limiting food source to the nuisance algae to prevent them to grow in ur dt. Else u need to hv some cuc to feed on them to prevent algae from overrunning ur tank.
  17. U need to control ur phosphates levels in ur dt and algae growth will be limited.
  18. Urchins & sea hare should feed on them. No worries if u hv clean up crews like those I hv mentioned.
  19. Getting more & more beautiful!!
