  1. I've tried that too a few times when out of bleach and it worked well.
  2. I agree. Bristle worms at top. I don't think the star below is a brittle star, probably a micro star. Kind of hard to judge the size.
  3. Yes, super glue gel is the most common glue used. The liquid is too thin and runny. For bigger things, there is underwater epoxy.
  4. Thanks for great info. I have always tried to have a gramma in my tanks. Beautiful and interesting fish.
  5. Sunflower coral is a LPS (large polyp stoney coral).
  6. Madpetz has a good selection.
  7. Looks good, keep updating. Want to build a new stand for my tank.
  8. Interesting, sunflower requires constant feeding since it's nonphotosynthetic.
  9. I'd reduce to once a week on the MB7. The haze was bacteria and have now leveled off. Population should be sufficient. After a month would stop dosing completely and let the biopellets maintain the population.
  10. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+39+244&pcatid=244 Recommended 180 gallon tank for this fish. It gets big if properly cared for. Not a nano fish.
  11. My experience very similar. I don't believe Coral Rx is 100% effective either at recommended dose. I prefer SPS from local now, but still recommend quartine with multiple dips.
  12. Hard to tell without a close up. Worms are probably just bristle worms. I might try that in my tank to see what I can catch.
  13. I've seen a few from time to time at CF. Considered having one in a tank by itself, but not sure if I want to try to maintain two tanks. Great info. Thanks.
  14. I've read the API does not work reading cupramine due to being chelated. The Salifert seems to be the most popular. Guessing or inaccurate dose will kill the fish. You have to hold the copper in a narrow range to be effective verses poisoning the fish.
  15. Same thing happened to me with hammer. Once it starts, get rid of affected piece right away. Spreads fast.
  16. Sounds like a good idea. Might use it to get a good population of pods growing.
  17. Half way down there is info on feeding and nutrition. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-11/fm/feature/
  18. Make sure your alkalinity is stable, which usually requires kalk, dosing or reactor.
  19. Super glue is safe. Always get the gel. For heavier things I use the epoxy that comes in a stick. You cut a piece off and mix it with your fingers then stick.
