Hi Wolfie , ask some one that have a amp meter clamp on the sso(switch socket outlet) and u can check the current of your equipment , no need to reduce the sso,because more compact more problem on maintain.

The one that I am using now is 6" diameter*18"high (inch) 6 liter, three year back I send it to the factory they change the rising for me cost me about $70,and I lost the contact. Another factory give me $5.00 per kg min 25kg but DIY and I can keep the rest of the rising.
